So the past few times I've been stream-hunting, if I hit the 5 egg limit and then freeze/release one egg, I can't pick up the first egg I click in the stream because I "can't take care of more than 5 eggs". After I get that message I can pick up another egg from the stream successfully, but still not the first egg I tried to grab.
What's going on?

UPDATE 12/6: It happened again but this time I noticed that when I got the "can't take more than 5 eggs" message, it was someone else's username in the corner instead of mine (ex. this time it read DarrkestDrow). It would go back to mine once I clicked away, but when I tried to grab the egg again I got the same message with the DD's username again.

I had the same during Halloween event and the 7-egg-limit
I'd grab stuff, go to freeze an egg I didn't want, go pick up something from the stream and be met with the 'you cannot have more than X eggs' message even if I only had 6 out of the 7 allowed. And it would Not let me grab the egg I was trying to pick up. After a few moments and trying to grab something else it allowed it, but it was irritating missing out on catching that one thing because of this glitch
It happened several times

Had the same thing happen today, but it only seemed to happen with certain eggs. Like, it wasn't letting me grab a green celestial butterfly egg, giving me the message about five eggs though I only had three, but I was able to grab a dragon turtle.

This just happened to me. I needed that egg and had to freeze both of my wooden dragonflies

this has been happening to me! i've been egg locked on 4 right now for a couple of hour :/ any solutions?

Oh wow, I feel dumb! It's so weird because when I clicked my other eggs it wasn't there, saying I only had 4? Thank you so much, really appreciate that

The "other eggs" only shows unfrozen eggs that are in the Main tab.

A good way to find unfrozen eggs is to visit the stats page, linked on the top right on the Keep view, and then sorting that list according to the eggs. You can then click on each species that shows unfrozen eggs, to be taken to the bestiary page which lists all the tabs where you have that species.

I have a frozen Amagnae egg that has 27% on it and i think it might be affecting my egg limit. I dont know what to do since i cant release it....

A few minutes later: NEVER MIND!!! It decided to fix itself.
