How does freezing eggs work? If another user freezes one, and sells it to me, can I unfreeze it?

Hi! I'm Alina, I started playing again recently.
I started playing in 2009, but wasn't active.
I logged in again in 2012, but didn't play for long.
I would love to know more people in this game. ^^
My dream is to have a pair of every breed in MS.

Note the bit in bold from the FAQ:
What is freezing?
Freezing is done using the 'freeze' button on a creature. This will lock the creature in its current stage. Frozen creatures will no longer grow, do not provide gold when clicked and do not count against the egg limit. Freezing is only available on eggs and hatchlings. Note that freezing cannot be undone.

Yes, I read that but I thought I didn't understand it. Why do people froze them or sell frozen eggs then? What is their purpose? To complete collection without being able to breed them?

People freeze for a variety of reasons. Some like to collect the egg sprites. Some use the egg sprites as spacers in their keep. Some people will do what is know as "stream cleaning" where they grab eggs from the stream and freeze them so they can get at an egg that might be behind one currently showing.
