I know how you feel. I'm a rat owner rather than a bird owner but when you realize that your little rats look forward to playing with you and you coming near their cage, even when they know they aren't being fed gets them excited. It is nice to feel the love.

One thing that always makes me happy, and cheers me up.if I'm having a bad day, is my cat. He is fur son, and when I get to pet or hug him it just makes everything better. His purring can brighten up any day

My pets cheer me up. My wife and I have a dog, 2 cats and 2 chinchillas. They are all very cute, soft and touchy. Dreams are another source of happiness. I mean, adequate dreams that can be realized. And the moment of happiness comes exactly when this dream becomes a reality.

Talking with my friends, taking care of my frogs and drawing. It's great when your best friend also loves the same things as me.

I'm very much a recluse, but even so, that makes the time I spend with my friends that much more enjoyable when it does come up and I usually come away from those sorts of things ecstatic.

Depends on the quality of your friends. There was an experience of communicating with people who will be with you only when you feel good, and turn away at the first problem. And there is such a category of people who are next to you when you feel bad, and they revel in what a loser you are and how cool they are. At one time I had many friends, including those that I mentioned a little earlier. Now there are only 3 people on my list of true friends.

I've been having a kind of awful week, but I've honestly been feeling better by coming on here and other pet sites. All the cute little creatures and dressing up characters is really making things seem a lot brighter

Just simple things, really. Chocolate covered espresso beans, watching one of our cats sleep in a cute or silly position, taking my dog out on a nice walk, listening to my sister talk to our dad about her day at work, and especially playing with my 1yo nephew and seeing him hit his milestones and hit that level of all-consuming happiness that I think only babies are really capable of.
