Have you read the FAQ? If you haven't, you should. There are many helpful things for newbies and it will give an answer to your first question.

I personally use two daycares: IFMN and the Temple Nursery. In IFMN you can add your creatures to the nursery simply by clicking 'Add creatures' and pasting the creature codes into the box and clicking ok. When you use the Temple Nursery (or other daycares, which can be found in Daycare -section), remember to put the codes inside . Also remember to read the rules from the first post and use a form if needed.
