It's starting to get a lot warmer in the afternoons, and my parents are refusing to turn on the AC to save on electricity (it got up to 75 in the house at one point)... I can't tolerate heat the same as them, so this is going to be one hell of a spring. Maybe I'll buy one of those portable squirt fans? Idk if they even make them anymore. I haven't seen them stocked in stores since the early aughts

Best investment I made was a box fan for my window. It works wonders.

We have one or two of those for whenever the AC goes out. They're awfully loud unfortunately

When I was going on a roadtrip to california and feeling particularly cheap, I managed to fashion myself my own self sustaining and painfully cheap AC.

All you need is ice
a bucket (or thermal packaging that keeps things cool?)
and a fan

You sit the fan on top of whatever you've dumped your ice in and it works like a charm! There might have been a few more steps but it's pretty easy to find tutorials on youtube. It's ideal if you have a means to refreeze water once it has melted, or maybe have a system of ice where you are continuously freezing new batches?

Its okay X`D Also what the heck is going on with Bethesda this days. Every other news about them is negative. Anyway,bough Fallout 4 and playing that one. Will stay away from FAllout 76 until they fix that game. IF its fixable.

The last thing I'd seen written on the entire situation was that the AAA studios are about to have a major crash due to a number of reasons catching up to them (and one of the major things is mismanagement and games being treated as a service instead of a product).

God I love Fallout 4. I know it's got issues but sometimes.... you just gotta enjoy things a little.

I do, too! I was the only one in my friend group who really enjoyed it, lol
Definitely has a bunch of issues, sure, but I had a lot of fun with it and it looked great (as great as a post—apocalyptic wasteland can look, anyway). I love the settlement building and the interesting weapons. I enjoyed Fallout 1/2/3 and New Vegas much, much more and while they outshine Fo4 by a lot for many reasons, Fo4 was still a blast for me. One day, I'm going to go back and play the DLC that I missed. I heard Far Harbor was pretty good.
So yeah... I'm deeply disappointed in Fallout 76 and Bethesda in general Same with Bioware, for a myriad of reasons.

I have a friend who was super hyped for Fallout 76, and its painful watching him try to reconcile how bad it is with his expectations. It's cruel to hype people up like that and then disappoint them so badly, but I think game studios do it because they make most of their money via pre-orders. Get enough pre-orders, and it doesn't matter how many bad reviews the game gets upon release.

So true. Thankfully gamers seem to become more picky and more anti-preorder this days. I can just imagine how much it hurts to get your fav game ruined this way >-<

I was broken when Silent Hill(s) P.T was cancelled... at least it wasnt run into the ground like some other games but still. It hurt x.x
I feel sorry for fans that were waiting and hyping over Fallout 76 before it came out. Same with Anthem-game. Sigh...

so for the past two weeks we've had a family in my restaurant. The mother is very..uncaring, she doesn't seem to want to tell her kids to be quiet, and the father always has a look of embarrassment on his face. (He probably can't do anything to reprimand the kids because he's scared of his wife). Anyways, the kids are very loud (I can hear them from across the room shouting things, today it was about poop. Yep. In a restaurant) The fricken kids can't seem to stay in their seat. The waitresses almost bumped into them. They also got really close to putting their hands in the salad in the salad bar. While at the salad bar, they were running around, pointing and shouting the at the things that they wanted and being in general annoying. I think Mom got a dirty look and she apologized saying "Oh I'm sorry he has a very piercing inside voice". Anyways the kids and their parents stay for like an hour and half. What really pisses me off is that the kids, even though they shouted about poop, ran around the salad bar, and were obviously being very annoying to other customers, they still got candy at the end. I really don't think that these people should be allowed to come in here anymore. They've only been coming for 2 weeks and I've gotten so many complaints from the staff about them. Mom seems to have a really big "My darlings can do whatever they want! They're angels and can do no wrong!" kind of attitude, so it's really hard to talk to her.

My question to the parents on this website, do you think that these kids shouldn't be allowed there anymore? Do you think that they really deserve candy at the end?

Sorry for the long post, this is just been really bugging me.

Not until their parents teach them how to behave properly, how to respect other people and how to control themselves. In general and in public spaces. They should already know this by now, so I don't have much hope. I just... I can't imagine my kid behaving like that and not just me being ok with it but also making excuses for it. No parent is perfect but sheesh.

NO. Rewarding bad behavior never solves anything, it only makes the problem worse.

The family should be banned from the establishment, orrr the kids should damn well be. It's not fair to other customers or your staff. I'm a mom to a 6 y/o kid, and he's known better for years than to behave like the above mentioned kids. Even the most well behaved kid can unexpectedly act out, throw a tantrum, you name it. It's normal but the repeat offenses on top of the parents doing NOTHING is deplorable and ridiculous. It's something I see far too often. I'm also very familiar with the "my angel can do no wrong!" parents and it's infuriating.
