In short, the Lightclaws and Darkclaws are enemy families.The Darkclaws are the "dark-colored" Gryphons and their allies. My rules for this family run as follows:

- Do not inbreed
- Do not breed to other families without asking me, or unless specified in another one of my lineages
- Only breed Darkclaws to Silver Gryphons, Onyx Gryphons, Ice Phoenixes, Ice Gryphons, Dark Pegasi, and regular Hippogryphs. I do not want any light/red/brown creatures here!
- NEVER breed a Lightclaw to a Darkclaw. They wouldn't exactly be very good enemies if this was not a rule.
- I would appreciate if you named and bred them, but this is not required.
