GO WATCH IT. It was amazing.
Absolutely wonderful movie. Math is not the exclusive domain of boys! Much of the movie does not portray things exactly the way they happened or even to whom they happened. This is because the whole story covers several decades and to make it flow as a movie, they had to compress events and shift some things around. Those changes improve the movie and do not harm the message. Katherine Johnson approved the screenplay before filming.
As for me, I just saw "The Zookeeper's Wife." It's the story of a couple (who owned a zoo) in Poland. After Warsaw was bombed and the Germans moved int, they hid Jews in the basement of their house and zoo, right under the noses of Nazi guards.
It's very well done and a story worth the telling. However, it is very intense. I do not recommend it for anyone who loves animals.
