Capellvian (Capellin x Puvia)

Capellvians are the result of a mating between a (in the wild always male) Puvia and a Capellin. They may not be very original, given the parent species, but they are something I'd really like to see. Both Puvias and Capellins deserve more love 
GENERAL
Very rearely a capellvian is spotted among a herd of Capellin. They resemble their bretheren in built and behaviour and live among them, seemingly unaware of the fact that they stand at twice to three times their height. Females could be mistaken for very large Capellins, were it not for the beak and the rainbow coloured feathers sprouting from their arms and spines. Males are even taller and more colourful. With their beautiful rainbow of colours they stand out in every environment, having to rely on their speed even more than Capellins do.

HATCHLING
This hatchling is playful but easily startled. It enjoys playing with Capellvian hatchlings at the keep and really looks like one of them. Only at second glance you notice the stubby feathers starting to grow along its spine. You notice that your companion is growing increasingly nervous around strangers as ist ages. It is entirely at ease in your presence though.

ADULT
An adult Capellvian is an impressive sight, albeit one that most will only enjoy from afar. Only the Magi who have raised them can approach these nervous creatures. Rarely one will form a bond strong enough to extend its trust to other people its Partner trusts and even then the tension will be very visible when around those.
A female Capellvian raised by a group of explorers is invaluable for sharing resources while the group is spreading out through unknown territory. Unmatched in speed and able to carry relatively heavy loads, the Capellvian can constantly dart back and forth between the Magi for hours at a time.
Male Capellvians are especially sought after, since they are actually big enough to carry a Magi on their backs. While they are unsuited for expeditions with their nervous nature and bright plumage, they make a great impression at official visits and parades, provided that their Magi friend can reassure them enough to keep them from running off. Some claim that nothing equals the thrill of riding a Capellvian across the water at full speed. They can only keep that up for a few seconds with the additional weight of a rider though.
