A terrific child of moist forests and dry deserts, Panther Ammit, is feared by the natives of both these regions: Ammits' intelligence combined with Panthers' abilities makes this animal almost an ideal predator. But, fortunately, Panther Ammits share the same lifestyle of their leopard and lion relatives: just rest all day in the water while food is coming straight to your mouth. So, once a human learns regular ammits' habits, they'll have no troubles with avoiding these ones, even if they are invisible.
If, for some reason, an ammit decides to go visible before you, you'll notice that the head, raised above the water has more 'caiman'-ish than 'crocodilish' head, unlike other ammits, and the unusual bright yellow, almost cat eyes.

If a magi sees an empty eggshell they should watch their steps: a blackish creature is hiding somewhere nearby, willing to play, to eat, to bite and to combine all this actions in one. They're teeth are to small and thin to actually harm a human - yet, - but they'll pierce through someone's knee skin like it's just a soft tasty fruit. Throw something in the air to play with - a chunk of meat, perhaps, - and you'll notice a swamp-coloured head resting on your feet: jaws wide open, yellow eyes watching.

There comes a day, when an agile Panther Ammit cub gains some weight, become slower and lazier. Their legs are to short now to playfully run through the jungles or sand barkhans and Ammits start to spend most of their time lying invisibly in the warm swamps. But they do not lose their childish mood completely: they do like swamp and they do like, in some way, they like their magi owners. But magi usually don't like swamps, so the Ammits often tries to show all advantages of a muddy water by striking human down in it with their heavy tail and splashing aroung the water with their paws.
