Tis sad that this started to poop out when the maybe-limited Turkeys are released.

Sadly none of us can afford to pay money to have it be a paid site.
Since it is a free site, there are some limitations that come with it. We are trying to find work arounds. The alternative to closing the site now was losing it altogether.

Thank you for the update and the hard work.
It would be great if you can get it back up without any more trouble but if not, I know I for one would understand. These things aren't all that simple or easy to contend with.
I guess those of us who started getting a wee bit lazy will just have to start exercising and moving around clicking sigs again. [chuckles]

not sure what the plans are there, but I was given the info on what was required and about how much bandwidth was used, and I can easily handle it.

While we all wait with bated (baited?) breath for IFN to get back up and running- in what ever form is required... The Emerald Hatchery is being updated as frequently as I can manage, and to help with growth, I've got a sitter taking all the codes to the Click threads.

Tinni and Rose, maybe could the Technical Difficulties notice direct people to EH? That way they don't have to feel completely with out hope of hatchings?

The issue is not with bandwidth, we have more than enough bandwidth available with us too.

Could you PM me the details of your host and hosting plan? I cannot commit to anything by just having a look at your forum. The traffic we have is very typical and uses a lot of database resources.


We are also talking to other hosts and working with our coding (Rosehill does that) to see how we can stream line everything.

We are still hopeful of having it up by the end of the weekend hopefully.

thank you SO much for all this hard work and aggravation on everyone's behalf...i wonder, reading what you said about the difficulties - would splitting it between two or more sites (say, 2500 on each, or something) do any good? i could design a router that would automatically shift people to the next one as each filled up...i think. this is too good an idea to lose.
(also, everyone, we have quite a few excellent sitting services onsite that i'm sure would LOVE your business in the meanwhile...)
