I don't think it's the links that are going to be the problem, it's the sheer amount of traffic the site would get.
I think it's an awesome idea.

Re: Image Free MagiStream Nursery
I'm the only person who voted "no".
I wouldn't donate codes to it because I don't like relying on anything offsite to hatch my creatures. I wouldn't mine on it simply because I refuse to goldmine anymore. Simple as that.
I could see it appealing to a decent amount of people, though.

I admit I'm not a computer coding genius, but is it not possible to take a leaf out of the Dragcave hatcheries? Specifically JadeDestiny. The site is down now unfortunately, but it gives you a box that has a formatted code already in it, all you do is add in the specific code of the pet you want raising. For this purpose you would have the BBcode or HTML in the correct format and replace the pet number with stars for each user to put the corret pet number into. Then when you submit it, it adds the pet to a list of creatures being displayed. There is also an option for any user to flag up an adult pet by clicking a cross next to it.
The DC site was programmed from scratch, so you could try getting in contact with the guy who made it for more information.

I was wondering if something like that would be possible- some more automated engine that could either post things or extract the link from the codes...jinglepupskye wrote:I admit I'm not a computer coding genius, but is it not possible to take a leaf out of the Dragcave hatcheries? I know EH has wanted go automated, almost from the start. Unfortunately, we haven't had anyone techy enough to code it for us, and we haven't been able to find anyone willing to share their code.

I'd love to help.
I think i'd be able to do a nightly cleaning of adults. it would be fun for me when i have nothing else to do~
And i think that this is such an awesome idea because i just hate the idea of gold mining adults when i could go to click threads when the need arises so i can help and get gold for it

I'd probably use it. It would be nice to help some little ones grow up whilst mining, since I use Tinnidawg's offsite quite a lot.
But, uh. Good luck with it. Sounds like a shitload of work.

These things need a database to work effectively, all those things ultimately costs money.DoctorOctopus wrote:I was wondering if something like that would be possible- some more automated engine that could either post things or extract the link from the codes...jinglepupskye wrote:I admit I'm not a computer coding genius, but is it not possible to take a leaf out of the Dragcave hatcheries? In DC a few players donate to the hatcheries, in MS anyone who can donate would obviously buy shards for DP's.
Also sustaining those kinds of RL costs is something that is very hard to sustain.
There are free sites, but they are free for a reason. There are restrictions to the amount of vartiation possible on those.
They also need a dedicated coder.

To Hatch only, please

Re: Image Free MagiStream Nursery
I would love to have one - I don't have time for clicking threads right now and twitter has my posts labled as spam or something, so I'm not getting any clicks from there either. A hatchery where I can drop my stuff once and spend a few seconds a day snap-linking a couple hundred creatures would be ideal for me.
