Gold plating on the male is awesome, but I like the flowiness of the female's fins, so it's a good balance of catchy features on the both of them.
Also, I love the grump face on the hatchlings. And I don't know if it was Tekla's intention or not, but when you zoom in on the egg, it looks like you can see the grump face through the top of the egg as well.

Erm... forgive me when I say this, but... is it weird to buy 2 betta eggs, then when they hatch, go and buy 4 more? I just did that.
I think this may be the only doni that's come out that I've done this! I swear... I am not addicted in the least! >.>

These are indeed really, really pretty.
However it really throws me off that the bettas with the larger fins are female and the smaller ones are male when it's vice versa irl.
The fantasy side of me wants to accept it but the realism side of me is screaming. LOL

Yeah, that's been bugging the heck out of me, too lol
I think I'm just gonna... ignore the 'official' genders and name the 'boy' after one of my past bettas
