I wouldn't call them a copycat — there are some similarities, but there's enough to set them apart with their own distinct whimsical look that compliments their lore. If anything, the characteristics the goats share with the spirit deer make them feel like they fit quite nicely in the world of Magistream.
There is a lot going on in the design, I agree. But I don't personally find them to be too busy, it kinda all blends together into an adorable lil fairy goat (I'm biased, though, because I love them, lol)

Design's a bit of a copycat.

It's markings look cool but if they where going to give it floating ethereal bits in the form of the wings why not give them something like floating ethereal runes to match it's markings?

It just has just a bit too much going on, it has metallic markings, ethereal wings, fire, and jewelry on the legs for good measure. I understand that a posing goat on it's own would be boring but this is a lot of unrelated stuff to pile onto one critter.

It's kinda like the first OC one makes in one of those OC maker flash games ("Create a ____" kind of "games") where they pile on a lot of pretty much unrelated paraphernalia because they individually looked cool.

Hippocampus. Gemstone Kirins. Gryphon. Cervinus Deer. Vevex Ray. And that's just 1/3rd of the way down one of my tabs. If you're going to nitpick creature design and you're going to be here for a LLOOOOOOOONG time. Especially since all the Gryphon were the same egg back in the day. Not just the same egg design, they all had the same name. OH the deer have skulls for heads! They're an obvious copy the horses that have skulls for heads even though the poses are completely different it's a copy!

I could go on and on about how making a creature from the same animal isn't inherently copying and that those are pallet swaps not being passed as their own completely unrelated critter which really isn't applicable to a complexly unrelated critter having nearly the exact same trait with very little changed but that's ignoring the big issue that this critter has.

But that wasn't NEARLY my main problem with these guys, that was just the beginning of the issues this critter has. I wasn't even that upset about it, don't take this as backpedaling I entirely mean what said, it's a bit of a copycat, not a giant copycat, nor a shameless copycat, but a bit of one.

My main issue is that the design is overdressed and can't pick one theme, it has way too much going on. It looks like someone went to "create a goat", saw a whole bunch of cool things you can click onto the goat template, and clicked them all without much thought beyond "It looks cool in the menu".

It's obviously not as severe as the example-pic but it's still there.
While all of those nick-knacks, accessories and exotic body parts are neat when used correctly they just become too much when used all at once.

I hardly ever buy any donation creatures for myself, but I bought two of these and froze an egg too for my personal collection. That's how much I love them
