Rauna Crystalwing (Water Shop)
Spoiler
This egg is calmest when sitting in a small bowl of water.

The rauna crystalwings are only found in the depths of the Tetzcotal jungle. There they make their home in a wide-reaching underground system of tunnels and caverns, a home they have built using their unique bond with water; Adult raunas are able to persuade any body of water to change its course. Through using the water's power they can drill through virtually anything, thus easily expanding their underground home. It is thought that this bond is at its strongest during full moon, at which time their citrine-coloured gems are rumoured to glow with the light of the moon.

Female Hatchling
Spoiler
Rauna crystalwings prefer mating in the days surrounding the full moon with spring being their main mating season. It is then that they form vast, shallow pools of water in which their lay their eggs. The rauna hatchlings hatch in this watery nest and spend the majority of their first few months playing in the water, slowly forming the bond that will stay with them throughout their lives. The happy chirps of the playing hatchlings occasionally rise to excited squeals when one of them manages to make even the tiniest wave. It is when the hatchlings start reshaping the sides of their watery nest to create water slides into the nearby stream that the adult raunas know that the hatchlings are ready to leave the nest

Not only do the links in drunk click thread posts not work as intended, but some of them turn up as pictures that look like they might lead to sketchy places.

It's 2000g for the Water Shop as well, so I'm assuming Dark Shop is the same.
Yes, it is also 2k in the Dark Shop.

Female Hexapo Crystalwing
Image
Spoiler
Hexapo crystalwings are squat, chunky hatchlings, always looking for their next meal. They tend to want to investigate everything just in case it's edible, which can get painful due to their powerful jaws and sharp teeth. A favourite way for a hatchling to get attention is to headbutt whoever's ignoring them - fine when it's another hexapo, but painful for anything smaller or more delicate. Although they tend to be rambunctious and bratty, hexapo hatchlings can also be quite affectionate, and many magi treasure those brief times when their hexapo hatchling is quiet and snuggly.

Though hexapo crystalwings are too heavy - and their wings too small - to fly, magi shouldn't be fooled by their generally lazy personalities. Given the right motivation, a hexapo crystalwing can easily run down a person. Most hexapo are found in southern areas, in grasslands and jungles where they have easy access to the waters they like to bathe in. When relaxed, they enjoy engaging in playfights, which may look dangerous to the casual observer, but don't usually result in any real injuries. Otherwise they spend most of their time eating and sleeping in the sun.
Female Moroi Crystalwing
Image
Spoiler
Moroi crystalwing hatchlings hatch only at night, and shun the sunlight from that point on. They prefer dark areas and high places from which they can hang by their back feet, sleeping and watching any movement down below. They eat strictly meat, the rarer the better, and highly dislike the taste or smell of garlic. Although generally lethargic, they can move quite quickly when they want to, and many magi raising these hatchlings report that they like to bite hard enough to draw blood. When fed properly, moroi hatchlings - who start out small enough to comfortably fit in a magi's cupped hands - will grow upwards of ten feet in length, with tails at least as long as their bodies.

Moroi crystalwings are loners, avoiding the company of even their own kind except during their rare mating seasons, though they do seem to have an affinity for the chupacabra. Their distinctive colourings - red and gold for the male, silver and blue for the female - make them easy to recognize, assuming a magi can get close enough to tell the difference in the dark areas where they like to live. Some moroi crystalwings have been found in abandoned manors, where they hoard stashes of gold and jewels, but this seems to be an unusual behaviour. Their great wings enable them to fly long distances, but their flight is silent enough that more than one magi has been startled by unexpectedly encountering one in the isolated countryside.
So far I really like the shop critters~

I've seen people putting the images from the drunkenness in the first post so here they are if that's relevant.
They'd have to be my favourite that I've seen for a while. :D

Also, should I try to buy the shop CWs from other players or try to rely on gifts for them? I don't have a guild yet and I'm really not wanting to rush in to that just now so I'd rather just get them from others right now. Any advice?

I love these! I wish I could get the ones from the water and herbalist shops though!

The shop crystalwings will be available for a couple of days after the time when we can first open gifts, so you could always wait until then to see what you're still missing. Alternatively, they're only 2K each in their respective shops, so buying a few from other players wouldn't set you back by that much.

Adult rauna crystalwings are at their happiest when they are working together with water. Persuading a stream to turn directly into the solid rock wall, thereby slowly creating a tunnel, or letting the water wash high up on the tunnel's walls, expanding the tunnel into a cavern, gives them a sense of great joy and accomplishment. A friendly and peaceloving species, they are even willing to use this ability to assist humans, provided that they are asked politely, and given offerings of opals, their favourite food.
