April Fool's Critters!

I love this joke, but I also don't like it.

All of our other allies are singular.. as in we can only have 1 of each, even when there are more than one version of sprite (centaur m/f, brown/black lycanthrope).

But now we have Pet Geode Allies.. 67 and counting so far. Two things stand out as 'wrong' with this..
Allies should be unique and these are definitely NOT.. and to make matters worse, you wind up with duplicates that you can't trade.

At this point, I don't know if I like this or hate this. Do I keep wasting money to get every name? Do I stop where I am now at 50 and just not have a complete set? Should I keep or release the duplicates or pray that we eventually get to trade them?

The only thing I know for certain at this point is that the one 'unnamed' I've gotten is the one that's going into my 'Collection' tab. But what do I do with the other 49?

Making them tradeable would solve 'my' problem, but I'm sure someone will retort with 'they aren't supposed to be tradable, because they're allies'. I don't think they should be Allies. I think they should be like every other joke creature we've had in the past.. tradable.

I do not intend to add 67 (?) of the same creature to my Collection tab. And I see no reason to keep this many useless joke creatures around either. So I would like to know something definitive.. will they eventually be tradable or not? If not, I'm going to start selling ALL of them except my unnamed one off. releasing them, since I forgot they aren't salable either, because they can't be added to trades. Which makes them even more useless.

I fully agree with this. I think it's a cool idea, but I am bothered by the idea that we can't do anything with these either. I have been releasing them myself, but I'm still torn on what to do about the set in general.

Yeah, same. If we could trade them or rename them I'd be more positive towards them, because the art really is gorgeous. But now I have a bunch of joke creatures that don't otherwise fit in my lair and I can't even trade to get an unnamed one.

Well, I'd like to trade them myself. But as to the rest - I simply made a new tab for them where I try to get as many names as possible, I think I have 54 different names now. Some of my favourite duplicates will go into my April's Fool tab, the rest of my duplicates I will probably release. The quest takes not too much gold so it doesn't really hurt. The clicking through the quest gets a bit repetitive, but otherwise I love the idea and the pun names^^ My favourites so faer are Fred and Geode, Pyrites of the Carribean, J.R.R. Talcite, Lord Voldemorite, Darth Vaterite and Jean-Lucite Piccearth. I'm still missing James T. Dirt, though^^

I love these, and I am slowly working on getting as many as possible, including duplicate names lol. If all else fails, I'll have plenty of slingshot ammunition, paperweights and doorstops.. *cough*

My favourites so far to appear are Fox Boulder, Geodorant and Barry Allanite.

It's not super rare I guess, at least if you get a lot of geodes. I gathered a hundred of them and I think I got somewhere around three of them that were unnamed??
Name it whatever hilarious rock pun you want!

I can't believe that ANYONE is complaining about these 'creatures'.

"These should not be allies" Seriously? Guys... this is a JOKE! It's a ROCK - just read the description: "This is the bestest of all of your allies. " It should be obvious to anyone that it's a joke.

So what if they have names and are untradeable? Why bother getting them? I just can't understand that you complain about having tons of them and releasing them because You don't know what to do with them? So WHY were you getting them in the first place? WHY were you repeating the quest so many times????? Nobody made you do this. Guys I really don't understand why anyone gathered hundreds of rocks just to release them

I LOVE the idea, and the joke was very funny to me, but I was not hoarding the rocks simply because I was OK with just a few of them. And even though I love these rocks I did not want to click through the quest over and over again. So again - if you don't like them WHY... WHY you repeated the quest hundred of times?
