I LOVE the idea, and the joke was very funny to me, but I was not hoarding the rocks simply because I was OK with just a few of them. And even though I love these rocks I did not want to click through the quest over and over again. So again - if you don't like them WHY... WHY you repeated the quest hundred of times?
It feels like you came back to childhood when you went to beach to collect shiny rocks just because they were pretty shiny rocks. What other reason do you really need?

I haven't released any.. YET. I'm hoping that at some point in the future, they become either sellable or tradable. They're in their own tab for now, but I will NOT be spending any more money on the drinks.
I am in the process of moving house, so I will not be around much for the foreseeable future.

My thoughts exactly....why do it? Mainly just cuz I want to and can. I have 167 atm in my "rock concert"

As many have stated, they wanted to collect the whole set
Either they liked the puns or just liked the thought of 'owning them all'
Trading would have made this task easier and it would have made people a little bit happier and it'd have taken less effort to get the favourite name. Since you have to pay 510k to rename an already named rock, getting that name You want is not as easy & I perfectly understand that someone would go through some effort to get that name, but trading to get it from someone who would not have kept that specific one would have been much easier and made two people happy at once. However, while one may not realize at first and may repeat the quest just because 'hey this is fun and I can repeat it' and the feeling of the creature is similar to that of the Pet Rock which Could be traded, it didn't come to mind instantly that the creature this time could not be traded. So while the person may only keep one or two, they completed the quest a couple times thinking they could trade later. Perfectly understandable and nothing to scream and point fingers about

The quest is still there. As Rosehill's creature release news post said, the creature, and therefore also the quest, is permanent. All you have to do is get drunk on Remy's drink and the quest will appear for you to do as many times as you like.
