I haven't read every post in this discussion (only the first couple pages) so hopefully I'm not changing the topic too much.

In my opinion Magistream is doing everything they can be doing to make this a fun game. Sure it is really quiet right now, which I admit I don't like the lack of activity, but its worth waiting through because it makes it extra exciting when an event or new critter release happens! If we always had something planned, the events wouldn't really be events... they would be daily routines and not something to come online for.

During the 'quiet times' you just need to, if the lack of activity bothers you, find something to do. For me when nothings going on I get just as much enjoyment out of running my raffles, running stores, ect.

I really don't think adds would help.... The only good way I can think to advertise that would help is displaying your eggs somewhere on your other accounts. For example I found Magistream from someones eggs on Chicken Smoothie.

I also know that many people always think we need more players because things appear quiet, but I don't think that's the case. I like the community here. I know pretty well everyone by their usernames, and have spoken to most players. Whereas on CS the threads are always bombarded and I don't have any specific players I enjoy doing business with or other things with... its gets to be too busy. In my opinion we have do have more options and events then other sites anyways, as we can breed and catch eggs, and the staff are literally always planning for new things. The only times, for example Chicken Smoothie (not to put this site down, it used to be my life and I do still love it), that there are usually new events is at special holidays... whereas we are lucky in having new quests and such at random times throughout the year, not just Christmas, Easter and the main holidays. The biggest example for this I think is the recent new addition the Black Market. I LOVE when I see its popped back in and discover a new critter is in it. I think this was a fantastic idea.

The only complaint I really have is that donating adds up so fast as they are in USD an I live in Canada... Theres nothing Magistream can do about this through, I just need to forget about the 5 shards

I think you get out of Magistream what you put into it. If you participate in everything, post in threads, ect, you'll enjoy the site. If (like some newcomers) you just say its too confusing without even reading any of the beginers guides or anything beforehand, then yes your obviously not going to like the site. Then yes Magistream seems quiet sometimes, but if you do something like make a store then you won't really notice. Time will fly until something new comes.

I love being able to recognise regular users whenever I come online , it's like that "ahah! I remember this user" moment. And learning the usernames of new players too hehe.

I guess it is a little quiet sometimes, but for me, I don't mind and find it quite normal.

It makes the site quite peaceful, perhaps a break from when the events come around and the site is just bustling with online users (and the click threads move so fast too ;D)


I love Magistream! The community is just so awesome, the whole site and coding is perfect and no ads, that is definitely an achievement.

If MS ever goes through some hard times, then I wouldn't mind ads shown as a last resort sort of thing

To me as a newer user, the site feels pretty alive compared to some of the other pet click games. It kinda feels like they might just be falling out of popularity as more complex ones like Flight Rising etc pop up. (personally I find FR a bit too complex lmao) Maybe a new mechanic like colour variations or something like that would help? Probably already been suggested though. :L
