Thanksgiving - #830 Turducken and #831 Quail Amagnae

Postby TSDaMan » November 21st, 2017, 10:11:51 am

So, with Thanksgiving being the day after tomorrow and experience with past events, I would have expected to have seen a new Amagnae event by now. I've checked the Keep and any place else I could think it may have started.

Is there a Calendar of events that has the schedule for these things?

--------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT - go to the stream and catch the old Amagnae - Image
Hatch them (showing male sprites) - ImageImageImage
Then do quests where you hand in these hatchlings to get the new birds - world -> keep - world/1 -> Aderyn's Amagnae Farm to get one type, Torren's Amagnaery to get the other type

Quail Amagnae
Obtained from: Quest - Aderyn's Amagnae Farm

This speckled brown egg seems oddly small for an amagnae egg.

Turducken
Obtained from: Quest - Torren's Amagnaery

This is a completely normal amagnae egg. It quacks occasionally, but you're sure your other amagnae eggs do that too sometimes.

Maybe you are right. I'm not entirely sure. That is kinda why I was asking if there was a calendar of events somewhere in this mass system of message boards and forums I was overlooking.

Check in Site News for Harvest Festivities threads--last year's started on November 26, the weekend after Thanksgiving.

magistream staff just prefers to have events be a surprise.

as someone whose been around for awhile, i sort of just know when events are going to happen therefore i try really hard not to be in egglock around that time.

This. Not that having a calendar is necessarily a bad idea, but the timing of events is usually based on real-life holidays, anyway (save for Magiversary, which can easily be noted on the front page of the site).

Plus, what's the fun in knowing exactly when something super awesome is going to happen? Events usually last for a few days at the least, anyway, so most users are able to participate & if not, they can always purchase whatever they missed out on later.

The fun is in not breeding your unrealeaseable or irreplaceable things too closely to the realease and being able to plan around it, rahter then ruining your planned schedule or missing out on a day or more's worth of event eggs.
To heck with the surprise, I would prefer some warning.
