I joined right before the Halloween event this year while looking for virtual pet games (because I adore animals). I love Magistream because of the events (well, the one event I’ve experienced so far), the adorable pets, and the close-knit community. Like QueenoftheRabbits, I also love how interesting the lore is and that it ties in with basically everything. On top of that, I have the option to start role playing here if I ever decide to get back into role play, which is nice too. This is the most fun I’ve ever had on a virtual pet site. :hooray:

I have a wishlist now <3 -> Image

I am happy to get you any Artificer Shop pets for shop price as long as you help hatch your own eggs. Just PM me. ^_^

I honestly have no idea why I joined. I think I saw the sprites, thought they were cute and decided to join.
I know the first creature I grabbed was a Narwhal b/c I saw the egg and thought it was a unicorn.
As for why I stayed, cute art, friendly community. And it's nice and chill.

I joined in a time of boredom haha so I was searching for any sort of virtual pet sites to join. I loved the lore and the creatures. I took a long hiatus, but I’m glad to be back

Honestly I cannot remember why I joined? Probably saw it in someone's signature or posted in forums on another adoptables site.

Have still been interested in it due to the unique egg grab system (no other site ive run across has a moving "stream" of eggs...most have biomes with 2-3 eggs sitting there until they are grabbed/site refreshes the egg stock). Doesnt hurt that your critters dont have a death date so you can play as casual as you want with no repercussions (other than perhaps missing some events xD)

I discovered MagiStream through some RL friends (who are now all inactive, sadly). I don't remember much about my first months or so on MS, only that I had no clue how the site worked and I thought there were too many rules that I could never remember :lol: I often ask myself why I spend so much time collecting what are essentially pixels, but something about MS is so addicting. The community is welcoming, the art is great, and the events are fun, so I stuck around.

Edit: I joined a couple of other pet hatching sites, like DragonCave or FlightRising, but I could never get into them because trying to hatch all your eggs in time, having your creatures "battle"...it was too stressful! MS, though, you can play at your own pace :D

I was browsing the ChickenSmoothie forums when I saw a kitsune in someone's signature & fell in love with the side art. :well: I stayed because I ended up meeting a lot of VERY kind people in the forums that I wish were still on today - but I'm glad I came back, at least.

For some reason, I still remember quite clearly that I got into virtual adoptables outside of Neopets by browsing the LFG webcomic's forums while trying to find more Richard content. :orly:

Whether I started with Magistream or got into DragonCave for all of two seconds and then jumped ship to MS, I can't remember, but for the same reasons Chess mentioned above, it's the only site that's stuck. And thanks to that, it's probably the site I've used the longest, if I don't technically count the hiatus.

It's definitely the community that keeps me coming back, though. Even though I've always made a constantly distracted ass off myself, I cannot deny that the people I've spent the most time with on this site are some of the best people I've ever met online. :yarly: Shoutout to 2k's Inn, especially... > v>

I actually was gotten into Dragon Cave from a parenting forum I was on and saw an Earth Unicorn in a sig on the forums there and followed it here. I did take a bit of a hiatus for a few months and am still sometimes a bit quiet in the forums, but I love this site for both the pets and the people.
