Oh wow. Reading the description, all I want to know is what out there eats 50ft long anacondas that're strong enough to crush trees, and how I can avoid ever coming into contact with them.

Oh my God this made me laugh too hard.

As soon as I saw them I checked Community Discussion and this thread had just been posted with one comment on it. I rushed to get all my eggs hatched so I could nab some.

These snakes are born small, and as soon as the leave the egg, they head to a source of water. Tetzcotal anaconda hatchlings spend their vulnerable time as hatchlings immersed in slow moving streams and rivers, letting the water carry them from place to place. They are very independent as hatchlings, and often require nothing more from their magi than companionship and perhaps a trip to the stream for a refreshing swim. Unlike other snakes, these anaconda hatchlings do not seem to mind cold, and will use their strong, muscular tails to break ice to get through to water. While swimming, these growing anacondas will consume as much of the fibrous growth from the bottom of the rivers and streams as they can find.

Super strange, but I'm glad they're peaceful. Boa constrictors are actually super chill snakes and don't tend to be aggressive even though they are carnivorous, so I'm glad we have a chill snake here too! I hate the misconception that snakes are mean. They're awesome!

Cōātl roughly means Serpent/Snake in the Nahuatl language.

Fortunately Titanoboa are long extinct, but they were native to Columbia.

The Smithsonian built a full scale model of one after an artist's depiction of a Titanoboa skeleton went viral and gave the internet nightmares. So naturally, they said "we got to jump on that".
