Yeah, I was just thinking for hatchlings, because my old MS self liked to collect only doni hatchlings & freeze them. :derp: Oops.

Ah. Yeah, see that I could see.
Something that lets you unfreeze eggs could easily be abused but like, if it's just hatchlings I can't, see any way to really abuse that since you can have as many live ones as you want anyways.
A 'hatchling unfreezing potion' or something would be p. cool.

Or it could be made super limited (EX: 2 per year) so that people only use it when it really counts.

If someone gets two extra eggs who cares? Pretty much all events last a week so a few extras won't kill the market.
The really valuable ones are GB/QBs and those would not be exploitable.

Two no, but I'm talking like, freezing literal HUNDREDS of eggs. Which is doable when an event runs for a week or more and someone isn't worried about having to hatch them.
Like, IF an unfreezing potion were made available in say, the shop or a repeatable quest, it means there's nothing(aside from the amount of gold they have) stopping someone from catching and freezing literal hundreds of eggs during an event, then using these potions and unfreezing them in groups of four at a time and then hatching them all.
Which is basically getting around the 'you can only have four eggs at a time' thing because instead of having to grab four, hatch them, then grab another four(as it currently is), they can grab as many as they want throughout the event and freeze them and then hatch them at their leisure after the event ends. So they basically have as many as they want.

Which of course, is massively unfair to everyone else(esp those who don't have the gold to do that).

And yes, that can wreak havoc on the market, because supply and demand. Event pets have high demand(esp ones that can't breed) so, a person with a ton of event pets can turn around and sell them for an exorbitant price and people will buy it because once the event ends, that'll be the only way to get them. And an unscrupulous individual can take advantage of that to jack the price high(I've seen people drop millions of gold on GBs, they will gladly drop thousands to tens of thousands of gold for stream event pets).

Being able to unfreeze eggs is far to exploitable and would bring far to much new drama(as would only giving 2 a year, yeah, people would complain). Plus it was like, heavily DENIED by mods a long time ago.

Unfreezing hatchlings, sure why not. I can't really think of any problem with that since, you gotta hatch them first anyways. But eggs, no, never.

I think that unfreezing eggs could work if you only have the ability to unfreeze when you have less than 4 eggs. Plus, it could be possible to have a limit - not as strict as two per year, but 5-10 for every month or two. Another possibility is that eggs can only be unfrozen if they have already been frozen for a certain amount of time, such as a few months.
