The Mystery Bag is a quick way of maxing out your inventory for the Xand Bear, Nandi Bear & Nivalis Bear achievements.
That is, as long as you're not trying to save up for a special pet.

Edit: the current Dark Shop price for a Dark Serendin is 8,020. I assume the markup in the Black Market is the "convenience" of buying Shop Borns for guilds you're not a member of.

Only restriction on freezing things is your own conscience - some people dislike freezing eggs. It's not uncommon for people to stream-clean on purpose, especially if there are special releases going on. Freezing them does not affect the wait time before you can release them, though.

As far as the shop, I think I'm going to stick to the bags this time around. I need soooooo many gender change potions...

I usually send the frozen eggs to Master Belmos. I don't release them.

Any idea on how long it's going to stay this time? I wish I'd been able to unlock it when it was here before, idk if i'll be able to get the cobras in time (kicking myself for not keeping breeding cobras on hand now)
