It was stated that the shop will pack up and leave on the 11th so... It would've made sense to assume that on the 11th the shop would be gone, and that it wouldn't be around through the 11th. I'd imagine that it would've been stated if the shop would be here through the 11th, like how in the creature release news, it usually says something will be available 'up to and including (insert date here).'

Yeah, since Morg said ON, instead of the usual through, I figured I wouldn't have a chance to get anything on the 11th and made sure to finish up on the 10th.

Haha yup, that's how I assumed it would be. I kinda figured the shop would vanish sometime on the 11th (if not right at the stroke of midnight, like Cinderella, then at some point).

I'm curious to see what he'll have when he comes back.

My fear is that when he does come back, we'll have to pay him another fee for access.



Also, to those who are suggesting changes to event start/end times... I remember when MS used to release stuff more around 5-8pm EST, so release day was super short and then there wasn't hardly any time for release date creatures! People hated that!

So, though I'm usually in bed before Midnight EST (I'm Central time, but I shut down the comp at least an hour before sleep) and don't see a new release/event until morning, I'm happy that I still have all the next day to get release dates when many times I wouldn't notice a late evening release and have no chance at release dates! This way, like Rosehill said, there's a FULL DAY of release date creatures.

How about 11:55pm? It's close to midnite, but when someone sees 11:55 on a particular date, they aren't going to be confused if it's midnite Tuesday or midnite Wednesday. They'll know that if the announcement says starts at 11:55pm Tuesday April 18th and ends at 11:55 Tuesday April 25th, there won't be any uncertainty.

You and I may not care about release date creatures, but many do and that would give only 5 minutes of release date. Horrible idea. Midnight works fine and it is usually stated multiple times that it is midnight between x and y date. The reason people were thrown off this time is that a time was not stated, only a date. The black market, by nature, operates slightly differently that a regular shop and it makes sense for it to leave at an unstated time.

Never had trouble recognizing the midnight of X day, how is it even possible to confuse the days? Midnight EDT/EST release times have been working for like 7 years and there's no need to change it.

Agreed with Marta. If it says Tuesday, March 20th at 12:00 AM, how can anyone get that confused? 12 AM is literally the first hour of that day, so I don't get how people can mix it up? I mean, I'm not even in the same time as MS but I use an online clock as needed.

Either way, don't care much for release date things, but they are kinda nice to have
To me, a non-native, it was easy enough to tell that the shop wasn't going to be around for the wholety of 11th. I thought of it, but it is easy enough to notice from the wording that it was not written like every other thing to this point. Just gotta pay attention

I'd prefer for things to not change, because I live on a very different timezone and so I have to guess things on my end. It has become a regilar thing that stuff happens at 7 in the Morning for me, and that's completelly fine. Because at least I know when to expect stuff
