Lots of platypuses

So I'm kidna new and I just yanked 2 platypus eggs from the stream and I go back and there's four? What's up with that? Is it normal for some stuff to come in in swarms?

Platypodes are social creatures, so social that twice each day they flood the stream and force all the other eggs to swim elsewhere.
