The contest winners are judged on the quality and originality of their entries, and also by how well their entries adhere to the rules of the contest. The number of views and comments are usually not taken into consideration, but they don't hurt.

I want to see cool hybrids happen, but you just know there will be that one magi that decides to cross something with a broken ability with something else that's extremely destructive. Looking forward to an entry I can fit in my palm and carry around with me. You know, like a pocket shark or something. You know you've always wanted a pocket shark.

That's me! I found two beasties with similar powers and want to stick 'em in the blender, but the result would be useless except as an over-the-top guard dog.
And yeah, now I need a pocket shark...
