The MS Tweeting Community

I was wondering if anyone has a guide on successful tweeting of ms critters for maximum click growth,
and who infact has, and actively uses twitter to hatch.

Everyone that has an active account and wishes to be listed here, will be listed. The more people the more exposure right?

Tips for the Cause

_____________________________________________________

  • • You only need to change one character in your tweet to be able to retweet it, or wait about 12 hours since the last time you tweeted it. - Ayakashi

    • You get more growth from retweets if you wait an hour to a couple of hours between retweets. - Ayakashi

    • Don't try to tweet over 150 creatures at one time. - Ayakashi

Do Not use more than three different links to tweet the same creature. To be on the safe side, it is recommended to use a direct link to your creature as well as the bit.ly link povided by the twitter button as two of your three links - ISK8

I'm on twitter, DBsMagistream.

A couple of tips I can give:
You only need to change one character in your tweet to be able to retweet it, or wait about 12 hours since the last time you tweeted it.
You get more growth from retweets if you wait an hour to a couple of hours between retweets.
Don't try to tweet over 150 creatures at one time, there is apparently a limit to how much tweeting you can do at one time. XD

I also have a list within twitter of other MS users who tweet. Anyone can subscribe to the list or follow more people there too if they like.

My Twitter handle is @neverdoubtmusic. It's kind of dumb, oh well. So many years since I made it.

@ MistyofC
I tend to delete my creature tweets each morning when posting new ones to avoid clutter. It will let you post the same thing again if you delete the previous tweet. I'm not a very active tweeter, though. Most creatures I only tweet once a day.
Feel free to click my entire keep. Anything I don't want to grow is protected.

Okay HEY YES I'm at home.

These were mostly picked up from the competition anyway. TLDR Twitter works by sending bots after your posted links, and sometimes this actually gets more clicks than regular users.

-You are allowed to use a link shortener. If your text is the same, Twitter treats it like a new link. The only one that does not work is t.co, for very obvious reasons.
Rules of Conduct NOs wrote:Using more than three different links to tweet your creature. To be on the safe side, it is recommended to use a direct link to your creature as well as the bit.ly link povided by the twitter button as two of your three links.
-Retweet your link with that button! This can net between 1 to 6 extra clicks, and also improves visibility just in case people miss it the first time. Adding an extra random hashtag may help, but this is not a science and on bad days Twitter will just ignore your attempts. :derr:

-Delete and repost. You can also just tweet the link again, but this time with text added to it.

-Start a tweet but just paste the link over and over again. Desperate, but is known to work occasionally.
Rules of Conduct is your friend wrote:It is allowed to post the same link on twitter multiple times.
-Bear in mind the "cooldowns". Just like MS only letting you click and grow creatures once, Twitter will ignore links you post for a certain period. You may want to check back every 12 hours to get around this. >.<

Aaand, that's it for getting clicks. The other tips aren't useful for hatching creatures, but they can make life easier.

-Delete your tweets if you don't need any more clicks. Twitter won't let you post the same tweet twice, and as mentioned before, you can only tweet so much at once. This also prevents hatched eggs/full grown adults from cluttering your followers' feeds.

-If you're using the link shorteners, you may want to set up a routine. I don't use the twitter button as I find logging in irritating, so I go with the regular creature link, bit.ly and goo.gl, in that order. I won't shorten the same link twice in one session, and I won't accidentally break the rule.

-Remove the ?sid=asdfjklsomenumber from the back of your creature link.

-You may want to look into other, more consistent sources of clicks. Many sites and apps will have link scanners, like Discord and Skype (1 click each for posting, plus you can ask others to help you out!). Bear in mind that some won't scan, and some won't support certain shorteners. (Discord won't do goo.gl links, for example.) Or, y'know, you can just post your keep link and invite miners :P
