I still haven't finished this quest xD. Whelp. Somehow I've got to obtain 3 more adult icists and what was it? 6 adult xand bears? I might have two... Hmm.
But i will finish eventually! Just gotta get through Easter first maybe.

I think some people are actually holding off finishing the quest so they can get ice kitsune with special birthdays, so you're not alone in having it still open.
