Day / Night

Description
Spoiler
A low, mournful sound emanates from this gently iridescent egg.

Little is known about asesina orcae, as they spend the majority of their time in the clouds, only occasionally dipping down to be seen from the lands below. Shimmering and iridescent, orcae cause light shows whenever they come below a certain altitude, and it's thought that they only do this when they need to carry the soul of a beloved magi to his final rest. Some magi believe that orcae are able to travel from galaxy to galaxy, but no one has been able to prove this. It is known, however, that orcae have no need of food given to them, as they absorb what they need from the sun and the natural energies around them. No harm will ever come to a magi who approaches one; despite their large size and formidable teeth, they're gentle creatures and their magical lights cause only a slight tingling sensation and a sense of peace.

Descriptions
Spoiler
Asesina orcae eggs are usually found on mountaintops, but once they hatch, the orcae inside will spend the majority of its time in the air, gradually ascending as it grows bigger. From the moment they hatch, they sing; a mournful sound but beautiful all the same, bringing chills and the release of grief from anyone who hears them. Magi wishing to raise an orcae hatchling will have to accept that the hatchling won't stay with them once it's grown, but magi-raised orcae have been known to return for brief visits, and will carry members of the family to the afterlife once their time comes.

Day Male/Female - Night Male/Female
Spoiler
A fully grown asesina orcae shimmers with iridescence, purples and blues glimmering across their skin as they move. Legend says that adult orcae carry the stars within them, and that it's these stars people follow into the afterlife. They are large and usually solitary creatures, though on very rare occasions they are seen in great pods that often foretell a world-spanning change. The sight of an orcae often brings mixed grief and wonder, especially when they sing in their deep voices; a song that always seems to bring peace to the hearts of those who are troubled. Witnessing an orcae light show is also said to bring great luck to those who are worthy, and magi are told always to be kind if they have the rare opportunity to meet one of these gentle beasts.

The description reminds me of the star whale from Doctor Who.

They're not a site-official remembrance creature, but the descriptions were very much written with Tali in mind.
