Sure, that's true, but the harvest occurred a month ago. A harvest festival should happen long before Thanksgiving. I was disappointed on Thursday, today, I'm annoyed, and by the time you guys start it, I won't much care. What's the big deal with just telling us? Why not just give a heads-up--hey, it'll start over the weekend? The harvest is long, long past. Bleh.

I'm not honestly sure why people are getting so bent out of shape over this. If you don't care, then fine, don't participate. People seem to think they're entitled to what they want now, and players need to take a step back and remember that all of us on the team are real people with real lives who are essentially doing this in our limited spare time. We have jobs and computer problems and family stuff, and sometimes things get delayed. Rosehill especially works her ass off for this site (including getting up in the middle of the night to ensure things like donis are released on time) so a little respect and acknowledgement of that would go a long way.

the possibility of a turkey event occurring without notice is exciting. It'll give me something to look forward to every day during the time before exams

I've always felt like surprise was kind of a key element in the events.. 'Cause you're pleasantly surprised when they start.

If I wasn't going to participate, then I wouldn't complain about when it starts. It's like saying you're not going to vote, but then complaining about the victor. It makes you look entitled and kind of snobby.

Sensitive much? been reading my thread and I can honestly say that only one comment in the thread so far has come across as "Bent out of Shape", as you call it. Rather than being rude and lumping everyone that makes a comment together, why not just call out the antagonist?

Guys, calm yourselves. Something will be happening in the near future. Clearly it did not happen on American Thanksgiving, and there is nothing wrong with that. Some releases and special events coincide with real-world holidays. Others do not. You are free to celebrate real-world holidays on the site as you like. Sometimes we release creatures and site features to help you celebrate. However, we do not guarantee that any of the site events will ever coincide with real-world holidays. The people who work on the site are real people with jobs, lives, and families, and sometimes real life takes priority. We celebrate holidays, too. Further, we don't want every site release to be tied to real-world holidays because there may be times when we want to host new or different site-wide celebrations that we have never celebrated before.

If you are displeased with this, you are free to voice your opinion, but keep it civil. If you want to complain, take it to the How Was Your Day Thread or contact a moderator directly.
