I've lived in the north my whole life and I can confirm that 'Sir' and 'Ma'am' are what I hear the most. I've only ever heard (usually other ladies) call me 'hun' or 'honey' when we went down south. And that didn't start until we hit the North Carolina area. Although, some younger coworkers call me 'miss (my name)'... which is kind of odd to me but I don't mind. XD I call some older ladies I work with that, ones who I know a little better. And there's an older gentleman who works with me that we all call 'mister (his name).'

 Guess it depends where you live, but yeah, I've only ever heard/been called 'hon' or 'honey' when I was down south.

Man, I’m so tired. We had to sit through this presentation, and the lady wasn’t bad or anything, but I had trouble keeping my eyes open and even more trouble focusing on her because sometimes there were two of her! It was much better afterwards when we started moving around to tour the place since I was no longer sitting in a somewhat comfy seat for one to two hours. Great lady, great place, but I’m happy to be home now and on my break  Although I am watching a dog and need to let him out this afternoon. I think I’ll just get it done and over with so I can nap all I want until I have to let him out in the evening again. He’s a good boy, and I love him very much, but I’m so tired after this week.

This dairy free thing is so frustrating. Especially trying to order food. I went to Dunks last week to order a coffee and I asked if the sweetened flavors had dairy and the guy basically said 'Uh I don't think so' so I ordered a coffee with some. Today I went in to order a frozen coffee and decided to ask again because I know at Starbucks some flavors have dairy and some don't. The lady was great and went to check them for me. Apparently the one I got the other day had dairy. :( I have to be tested in about 12 days and I really don't want to mess this no dairy thing up. I already messed up the other day because I started eating nachos without thinking.

I am from the south, and I use 'sir/ma'am' for folks that look older than me, nothing at all for people my age, and 'hun' for people that are younger than me.

Basically everyone does that around this area, regardless of differences in individuals.

EDIT: I almost forgot; people that are higher rank than me are 'Mister/Miss So and So' too due to Southern Culture, so it's super important to ask for folks' pronouns.

When I worked retail (in the north), a lot of older men gave me similar pet names. It sometimes gave me the heebs. I think you can tell when people are being polite, or when people are being condescending and creepy.

Deep breaths, next week is a big week for me.

Wednesday I'm taking my Teacher License exam for 4-8 Social Studies. I want to pass so badly because I LOVE teaching history and geography. I want to do that for the rest of my career.

Thursday I have an interview near Fort Worth, which I'm hoping I nail it so I can get back to the DFW area. I love that area. I have so many friends there.

SO all the good thoughts and vibes, please? I gotta nail both of these <3
