Whelp, Irma was fun. Lost power Monday morning at around 1:45am and only got it back a little bit ago. Water had been off since like 4-5pm on Sunday. I NEED A SHOWER DAMN IT.

Our county basically got screwed by how huge Irma was. I live in a coastal county in Georgia and our entire waterfront is pretty much destroyed. One of the decommissioned ferries was dashed onto the shore, and half of it sank. All of the docks are basically gone and the marina is ruined. Most people were smart enough to move their boats upriver, but a lot of people didn't, and a lot of boats are ruined because of it. There was MAJOR flooding all across the county, downed trees, downed powerlines, you named it. Most of us here figured it couldn't be worse than Matthew last year... it definitely was, and it was hardly a Cat 1 when it hit us. Just... damn.

Fortunately, no casualties have been reported and damaged homes/docks/etc are all reparable. I'm impressed by how much our community has come together to clean up the damage and I'm SO eternally grateful to the linemen who have been working around the clock to restore power all over the county. I'd be out volunteering my time... but I'm six months pregnant lol.

I just discovered my new favorite eggless cookie dough recipe. Oh my goodness this is amazing. I might reduce the salt a little bit next time, but otherwise it is great - near perfect mix of salty-sweet and vanilla. Now back to nibbling on the least healthy thing I'll ever have XD

If anyone wants to try it, here's the recipe:

I don't like chocolate chips, so the only change I made was getting rid of those. Next time I'm reducing the salt a tiny bit though.

Well, today hasn't been super eventful. But then again I just woke up from a super strange dream. I'm probably going to go raid the fridge for something edible and fill out some paperwork that I didn't get to yesterday. Should be a pretty chill day today.

I don't know what we are going to do about Vance. He keeps getting in trouble for talking, not staying in his seat, and not doing his work. He's (a young) five people! Add to it he's intelligent and you get a child who is bored. The work he's doing now is almost the same as what he did at daycare over the summer. Some things he did then were harder even.

His Kindergarten teacher is ready to give up on him. I don't think he has ADHD, but I bet she wishes she could tell us to get him tested.

I just wish I knew how to help him settle down.

So I might - might be given a commission that'll earn me 5,000€.

That was not what I was expecting to be confronted with when I woke up today, but HELL YEAH!

Ouch! If one is trying to advertise oneself as an author, one should use basic grammar skills.
