Back from LARP! It was awesome, but I am utterly exhausted. I think I only got about 2-3 hours of sleep per night, and I was on my feet the entire time.

I've always wanted to do it, but I want to have a perfect outfit, so I never try xD

Saaame, just cause you're battling doesn't mean you can't look stylish! We actually have a LARP club on campus who go to battles and hold mini ones here. It's pretty cool, so I'm kinda jealous of Raneth!

I designed my character as a healer so I wouldn't need to build armor or weapons, which can get expensive fast. I had a $20 halloween robe on over my coat and then a wrap-style blanket over my shoulders with pockets for my spell packets. It was VERY obviously thrown together at the last minute and made me look like a hunchback. It was vastly inferior to every other costume, but no one cared, or if they did, they didn't say anything.

I have about two months until the next event, though, so I may try and put something together for next time that's a little less...awful.

I've tried LARPing a few times.. once with an AD&D theme.. once with a MechWarrior theme.. once with a World of Darkness theme. I could never really get into it because I'm just not a good actress, and I kept slipping out of character. So I just stuck with table-top until I ran out of folk to play with.. tried online RP for a while, but even the groups using table-top rules were too 'freestyle' for me to enjoy. I just prefer real life face-to-face RPing, but no one seems to play like that anymore.
