We'll never really stop view-bombers, the only way I can really foresee them being stopped is if egg sickness was removed, which TJ has pretty much outright refused to do despite it being used by people to KILL other people's eggs with no consequences whatsoever because...Player engagement?

Last time it was brought up he just said that if he did that then we would all just dump our eggs in hatcheries and ignore them, even though we already do that except we just wait until they're ER AND THEN dump them i and ignore them (and then maybe remove them later if we feel like it, I often just leave em in because I can't always be bothered to revisit the sites).

I get that he needs people to view the ads but he could probably do that more effectively by making hunting more interesting or something else to improve actual game-play rather then just hold their hard-earned eggs hostage.

Would unticking that box help stop people from doing that?(provided it's not unticked already)

No, anyone can just ignore it if they want.

As soon as we got the option to turn that off or on I clicked mine to off. Its supposed to be a punishable offense if you get caught adding eggs without the scroll owner's consent (and by consent I mean by having the accepting aid enabled) however TJ hasnt figured out how to code ANYTHING to catch these assholes nor has he made an official DC hatchery and banned all the side hatcheries. Or made it against the rules to run a DC hatchery unless you have the one security he DOES have (only ONE hatchery lets you secure your scroll by signing in to DC through the site and then locking the device used to your scroll so that no other asshole can put your eggs into that site).

As it stands the viewbombing assholes do it for shits and giggles because they know they wont get caught. They only managed to catch one small group of folks a while back and they quite literally had a list of scroll names taken from DC discord AND forums (so scrolls were linked to discord/forum names. Im sure someone still has that list, has expenaded on it, and is using it to be a dickwad.

Have you at anypoint ever had the option ticked to show your scroll name on your dragon pages? Some assholes will click random eggs in hatcheries and, if the scroll name is viewable, add those people to other hatcheries. If you do have your name viewable and had older eggs/hatchlings in a hatchery during the start of a release they could have gotten you that way.

Like I dont know for sure if it was the forums that did it for me...when I grabbed my first batch of eggs I had 3 spiritward hatchies (2 just recently hatched) that were in AoND. I had my name viewable on my scroll so anyone who clicked any of my ward hatchies would have had a clear and easy link to my scroll

I definitely recommend switching that off at least during release times. That way they have to work harder to find your scroll name ;p

Back to trying in 3 days. Hopefully I will get a good supply of Golden Goose eggs today. Last time I managed to get around 15.
