See, it's a super hard decision because college choice is based off of finances over personal preference for me. I'm going to the college in my hometown literally only because I have scholarships to pay for it. xD But it only offers maaaaaybe twelve different majors with no specific fields (ex. if you're an art major, you can't specialize in anything, you have to take every art class to get the credits to graduate) - none of which I am interested in.

So, I'm a bit stuck. If my college had a program that I was actually interested & could major in, I would stay until I graduated without a doubt... but it doesn't, and I can't afford to transfer anywhere else. Which just makes college in general seem a bit pointless, if I can't do what I want at the only college I can afford to attend.

Wow sounds...like great college o.o
Have you tried to see if there are any online-classes at other colleges you could take instead?
If not, check out something else. No idea how it works where you live or what it is called but there are programs (courses) that last maybe 30 weeks and are dedicated to prepare you for work/give you needed qualifications that will help you get a job. Unless you want to be a doctor, this could be more your style. College isn't everything even if a lot of people believe it xD

Well, after 3 days of being okay, my computer blue screens... again. Might have to take it to Geek Squad to see what they can do. At least it was under similar circumstances as before so explaining shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Also I think I'm coming down with something and it's settling in my chest. And classes just started yesterday. Coolcoolcoolcoolcool

It's snowing again in Alabama.. and the roads are closed due to ice.. schools and businesses closed early and will be closed tomorrow.. and it's very, very COLD!

Glad I was able to get to the grocery store before the weather got bad.

I can't remember the last time it snowed more than once in a winter in central Alabama. I made sure to bring my work laptop home with me tonight so I can telecommute tomorrow.

And just got the following message on my phone: ⚠CIVIL EMERGENCY MESSAGE ⚠ now issued for the following counties due to hazardous roadway conditions: Autauga, Barbour, Bibb, Chambers, Dallas, Elmore, Lowndes, Perry, Tallapoosa. DO NOT DRIVE in these counties if you don't have to! #alwx
I live in Tallapoosa county so work can't get onto me now.

Upstate NY here. It's snowing quite a bit, but not much accumulation yet. Roads are fine if you go the speed limit. And still, there was two accidents on my very short drive to work!

My dad is so angry. Sometime last night, someone came onto our property and stole 4 of his game chickens (he had paid over $500 each for them). My security cameras went down last night because of a power outage, so I saw nothing. We have a new camera mounted near the chicken coop now and padlocks on the cage doors. We have a decent idea of who did it, but no way to prove it.

Who would steal a chicken?!

New York prepares for things like this because it happens on a routine basis. Alabama doesn't because it doesn't happen often. Where I live we don't have any road salt to treat the roads with instead we have 1 sanding truck for the entire city.

Surprisingly, a number of people, whether it's just for fun, food, or because of rare/expensive breeds or show quality birds. Crime, particularly theft and vandalism, has been on the rise in my area unfortunately. I probably should do what Soleil is going to do and get padlocks on my own pens.



Kinda miss my cereal. I've been put on a crazy strict diet and have to make a list of foods I can safely eat, and foods that upset my stomach. Literally had to start day one with just eating applesauce and white rice. I'm not allowed any kind of seasoning, cooking oils, or sauces in my food preparation until further notice. So blah.

Released from jury duty, and I didn't even have to be a jerk! Probably shouldn't have been so sarcastic, but it wasn't on purpose and I don't think anyone cared.
