I've been gradually drifting away from Magistream for a while (from adoptables sites in general, in fact). This has nothing to do with the site or anyone here, but with various real-life issues instead. A few hours after I decided yesterday evening to finally stuff everything left into a hidden trade and walk away (at least once a few remaining trades and PMs were dealt with), we get little Ekaira-foxes. It's like the site knew I had plans to leave and was trying to convince me to stay. Did it work? I have no idea yet.

I try to maintain at least the illusion of anonymity, but I will say that with the most recent thing, if you tried to put it into a story, the editor would reject it for being an implausible coincidence and just too on-the-nose. Having said that, I'm fine. My immediate family is fine. Work is weirdly stressful, but that's to be expected.

Got a surprise this morning when I opened my email and saw an 'order you placed is ont he way' email from Chapters and was, confused b/c I did not order anything recently so what was coming to me?
And then I scrolled and saw the title and remembered that I preordered a (signed) copy of WTNV's next novel It Devours.

Now that I have a license and access to a car all the adulthood "fetch quests" are quite enjoyable. Eg. I called the doctor for a prescription and then picked it up myself, tomorrow I'm applying for some government document and maybe getting a blood test etc. I also enjoy making phone calls? Who would have thought. Then again this is probably stuff you're supposed to be good at at 16 rather than 19, but whatever. I got there in the end, lol.
