So that time sucks for all of us some worse than others and I always thought I was one of the luckier ones with a lighter flow and shorter days, but sometimes I feel SO weak like I can't stand, and I'm over here with full body aches and full on sweating, but I'm absolutely freezing and shivering and want nothing more than to get warm hopefully helping with these cramps, since the cold makes it worse, and trying to decide whether this nausea is actually going to make me throw up or not. So basically Flu symptoms during my period. These can last 20 minutes or Hours and I (if not at work) take a Few Ibuprofen and benedyrl and try to sleep it off. I've talked with a handful of friends they don't get these, tonight I decided to google it Turns out 'Period Flu' is a thing and I just happen to be one who gets it on occasion. yea me. Very Very glad I didn't pick up an extra shift tonight, I wish I could just take this useless piece of flesh out I'm not having any children I refuse to so I'm putting up with this thing for no reason
Spoiler
Wellyou can either sterilize or just remove uterus altogether. I know that people with menorrhagia usually remove their uterus because the bleedings affect their normal life too much. period flu sounds like a pain in the ass... how often do you get period flu? Each time its time for bleeding or just randomly?
Spoiler
I haven't been to a doctor, but I've done research to see if I could get my tubes tied or preferably uterus removed. I have found nothing on having the uterus removed simply for sterilization only for serious medical reasons. What I've found on tubes being tied are basically alot of stories from women saying that they have been denied sterilization "they will regret it", "might want kids/more in the future" , "their future husband might want children" "too young" , etc. most I've read have had to go to multiple doctors, some more than a dozen, since every one they went to disregarded them or would basically lecture them about their decision, even if they had a legit medical reason. My mom was 44 with 3 kids and had a cyst of some sort (that could rupture at basically any time) and it still took 2 years before they finally gave her a hysterectomy, after trying multiple other options. (If I remember correctly, I could be wrong with what she had but it caused severe pain and was a time bomb of pus). Of course again I haven't actually gone to a doctor, the only doctor that I go to is my back doctor for check ups every 2-3 years. (scoliosis surgery when I was twelve). I haven't been to a regular physician since I was 11 (so 13 yrs?), and have only been to a med clinic twice since then, once when my finger was swollen and discolored, I thought it was broken, It was just severely sprained, and a few years ago when 2nd degree burns on my foot from work got infected. I'm not socially adept enough to have the courage to make an appointment, let alone argue with a doctor that I know what I want and this isn't a split decision but something I've wanted for about a decade. Basically I'm stuck because of me.
To answer you period flu question. It is just during my period not anytime outside it that I've noticed. And it's not Every time I haven't really kept up with how often it happens cause until maybe within the last year, I thought these were normal symptoms I thought that maybe this time was just a little worse than others. This time it lasted maybe 40 minutes? S not too bad and thankfully I was at home. I've had it happen at work before I got super weak and nauseous suddenly and could't figure out why, and just as suddenly it was gone
and I was back to normal, my co-worker thought I was faking feeling sick since I went back to normal so quickly (15-30 minutes). but he was an @$$ anyways. But I've also had it wake me up and last hours but lucky I would feel better when it was time to get up for work, whether cause it went away or cause of the medicine I took I'm not sure
sorry for how long it is, I want to get my point across without coming off rude (cause I'm not trying to be) so I throw in too many details then it get unnecessarily long. The second half I've talked to maybe 3 people about, the first basically everyone around me knows I refuse to have children.

I've been considering the same. I have a lot of health problems, one of which I inherited apparently from my parents as they were both carriers. The chance of me passing it on to any offspring is quite high, and I just don't want to put any child through what I'm going through. I figure, if I do decide on children, I can always adopt. I'm not one of those people who insist that family 'has to be blood.' Trying to convince a doctor to do the procedure is indeed the tricky part though.

Have you considered getting the depo provera shot? You would have to see a physician because it's by prescription only, but it's a once every 3 months/12 weeks thing so not that often. Depo usually causes your periods to stop completely or at least reduce them significantly. They are safe for the majority of women and have very few side effects. I have hypertension/high blood pressure and chronic anemia due to AVM, and the shots were the only type if birth control I could take. Doctors gave me the same run around about being 'too young' or 'you might want kids later', etc. when I asked for a hysterectomy. But I was able to take the depo (for over 30 yrs) all the way thru menopause. With what you are describing, I seriously suggest you look into getting the shots.
I am in the process of moving house, so I will not be around much for the foreseeable future.

Spoiler
I totally get the Passing health issues down. Scoliosis is a genetically inherited condition my mom and grandmother have very slight curves, I just happened to get it bad enough for surgery to be the only way to correct it, but I actually had a double curve so they only fixed the larger one since they couldn't fuse the entire spine, my Bestie does want kids and worries bout this as well since she has Poly-cystic kidney disease from her dad, doctors say she'll most likely be dead by 30 and wont even put her on a list for a kidney transplant until they are functioning at 10% and she doesn't want to pass this down. I also agree with the Adoption, if I or anyone happens to change their mind after getting sterilized there are hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of children waiting for loving homes, or if you want to be biological it would be expensive but a surrogate could be used as well. While I didn't mention it in previous post I'm also Anti-k, Which I learned last August when I tried to donate plasma then was told I couldn't. Doesn't affect me any but if I ,Heaven forbid, get pregnant could cause some serious health issues for the unborn from severe fetal anemia to Death.

I've actually never heard of that shot and have never even considered birth control simply because of the brutal and unnecessary side effects, but I just googled it. I'll have to do more research on it later since
I only just looked at 1 site to see what it even was, but the side effects aren't even close to advertised Birth Control. (Blood clot, stroke, DEATH) Literally 7/8 of the commercials are just listing the health risks. Anyway yeah I'll look more in depth at it, it could be do-able

Venting:
Spoiler
I went outside today when my parents got home (my partner and I live next door) to hang out for a bit. I hadn't seen my mother at all over the weekend. I saw my father because he came over to watch e3. I helped feed chickens while my partner played with the dog. Afterwards, I sat down outside with my mother a bit wanting to spend some time since I didn't see her much over the weekend. She told my hair looked disgusting. That was all she had to say. I just got up and went back inside. My self esteem is already low. That didn't help at all. She used to always tell me that same thing growing up. It still bothers me to this day. I think my hair looks okay. I hadn't combed it today because my partner and I weren't going anywhere. We got up to see Nintendo present at e3 and just stayed around the house. I had the intention of taking a shower tonight so we could go out tomorrow for lunch... but now I don't want to do any of that. I want to hide away and not go out in public for a while. I like the internet and my online friends. They don't know what I look like. They like me because of my personality.

*I'm the worst person ever at responding to PMs because I just get too nervous to talk to people I don't know much. I'll try to get back to anyone soon if you message me. Obviously feeling bummed right now.

I'd recommend checking out the Childfree subreddit if you haven't already, even if you're not a fan of the sub, it has a sidebar with resources that could help you present your case to a doctor

Didn't know there was a subreddit for that. Then again, I'm not on reddit much so I never really looked. Thank you!
