One of my gerbils is sick
I woke up super late today and he was asleep anyway so I didn't see him until I heard food munching around 9pm. I walk over with a treat like usual only to find him completely unable to walk in a straight line. His head is tilted to the right and he is walking in circles to the right. The good news is that he is otherwise acting completely like his normal self, eating, drinking, shredding cardboard and hay, etc.
So one trip to the emergency vet later and he now has to take antibiotics in the hopes it's just an ear infection, b12 vitamins, an anti-inflammatory, and a pro-biotic to help counteract the negative effects of the antibiotics.
Good thing he has always been a thinner gerbil, there is no way I would be able to give him all of this without copious fattening treats
The vet also told me that even if it isn't an ear infection and the meds don't help improve the situation (could have been a stroke for example, he IS over three years old now), since he seems to still have normal quality of life for the time being, it's not necessarily rainbow road time.
I was told that as long as I got certified one way or another, that it didn’t matter if I took the class or not since it wasn’t required, just the certification. But the instructor told us that 35-40% of our test is stuff from that class, so guess who’s doing some googling? I’m not really sure what the other people are doing that haven’t had the class yet or didn’t take it, but I don’t have their contact info. Guess I’ll just cross my fingers and hope google gives me the right info 
Got up at a decent time, the sun is out, and the birds are chirping... I'm making money on Valentine's critters and Donis, I get to celebrate a friend's birthday soon...
