I hate fighting with my SO. I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate it! I feel so terrible afterwards. It literally drains me of emotion... even small petty spats do. It raises my anxiety so much. God, I hate it. Things have been tense lately with his family. Mom and dad divorced then got back together for a whole 5 days and it is still upsetting the balance of things. Everyone is so tense and the slighting thing turns into something way bigger than it should. I swear I've spent the night crying. I'm so exhausted, emotionally and physically.

I've mostly heard that people with anxiety use them, but I definitely see how people who have different needs would find them beneficial too. ^^ It just kind of irks me how EVERYONE must have one now, because they're the new 'in' thing, even when they don't /need/ them. :/Merkwerkee wrote:I thought they were for people with hyperactivity We got one for one of my managers in the C3 so he'd stop tapping his goddamn foot all the time (it wouldn't be so bad if he didn't wear combat boots all the time but he does)WillowA wrote:Fidget Spinners were originally intended for people who suffer from anxiety. It's supposed to give them something to do with their hands, to calm their nerves, etc. But of course, they went mainstream and now everyone in the world has self diagnosed themselves with anxiety and wants one.PaleoMage wrote:So what's with all this stuff about fidget spinners (which have been around for... a while, right?) and rompers all of a sudden? I get the new mocking Spongebob meme, but this other stuff just appeared out of nowhere seemingly all at once.
I don't even know what a romper is.
Me personally I have one that I use to keep me awake during shift. The haptic feedback of it spinning in my hand is enough to keep me from dozing off
It reminds me of the Silly Bands trend a few years ago.

I hate waiting for the world to wake up. I do realize that my usual wake up between 3 and 4 am is a bit early for some people, but it is a real pain making plans for the day when you have to wait 5-6 hours before the rest of the world is functioning.
25/25 Gifts Thank you so much!

One of hubby's nephew's got married yesterday. He came home around 2.00 am this morning. Turns out, the bride was admitted to hospital and was in ICU. She is allergic to prawns and knowing that full well, she had eaten prawns. She is much better now. Stupid idiot

Friends are supposed to come get my furniture today. So I message and am all "Hey, so I am leaving at 5pm.." and she's responds with "Oh yeah, we're trying to find a truck/trailer."
UM WHAT. You have known for 2 MONTHS that you were picking up the furniture this weekend. How the hell do you not have shit figured out by now!? I told her to just go rent a Uhaul and be done with it. -_-

So we got one of those little hanging coconut huts with the teeny rope ladders for our mouse...
Showed it to one of the rats first because she was epically curious, but she came out of it covered in a buttload of dust, so I rinsed the hut out in the sink before showing it to the little mouse.
He's normally pretty adamant about coming out to play, but when I showed him that coconut he literally recoiled in horror. He kept trying to be curious about it, but it took several attempts for him to finally stomach getting close enough to inspect the inside of it. Not even 30 seconds passed and he shot right back out of it and onto the table.
I though maybe he was just afraid of it because he didnt' know what a coconut was, but then I finally noticed that getting it wet apparently made it waft intensely with the smell of either heavily fermented coconut milk, or the milk mixed with the stench of fresh varnish(although I don't think it's been varnished) - and it was only getting stronger the longer I held the damn thing.
It's now enjoying a delightfully not in my dang house sunbath on top of the truck. Hopefully it'll bake enough that it stops stinking like that - but knowing it was the horrid smell now, I really gotta commend my mouse's attempt. Poor little guy tried so hard.
