The "arts and artifacts" can't be safe. The ones small enough to remove that weren't in the vicinity of the fire MAYBE, but the building itself is an architectural work of art. There are murals everywhere and statues and even the stained glass windows...all of it. It is sickening that it's all just burning...

I think they may have it put out now though?
From what I heard a number of things had already been removed due to the reconstruction that was going on, including the 12 statues of the apostles and the sacred relics/holy objects (the crown of thorns believed to have been worn by Jesus) so those things are safe.
It sounds like a lot of artwork was spared/saved as well (I have no idea which ones though)

And while the spire-which was going to be reconstructed as it is-has collapsed, and the roof there is gone(the stone portion of the room remains but the wood is gone), but the iconic front towers are still standing and it seems like they're probably going to be safe. It seems they managed to get the fire under control before it got there.
There's been at least one injury-a firefighter-but no deaths amazingly.

We have had the news on and the fire is still going last I saw but I think they have it under control now.

Yes that can't be saved but it also depends on how much they were expose to the fire when it comes to murials, the statues can probably survive the fire unless they're made of wood then they're gone. Also very important, stuff had actually gotten removed because of renovation work. Hopefully what remains of the structure can actually be restored, I'm not sure how well the already crumbling stone actually will take the heat and cooling from fire and water.

Like BB said the 12 statues normally at the spire was not there, they'd gotten removed a few days before because of the renovation work.

I do not understand the rules as far as what counts as a run in t-ball. Middle son is in t-ball this year. I've gotten to watch two of his three games so far (not counting the two games on opening day that don't count in the season) and both times his team appears to have been shorted on the score. Very frustrating as by my count, and several other parents as well, the games should have been wins rather than loses.

Really wish April would have the normal spring temperature. There are only 11°C.

On Saturday, I went to a murder mystery party hosted by my local library. It was different, quite enjoyable even if my interests were distracted by the opportunity of browsing the book shelves. Hey, not like they said you could not do that. I tried wine...and OMG I hated it. Maybe I am still new to this drinking thing, but so far I had a cocktail, a martini, and now wine...and I hated the taste. The martini was probably the worse decision I'd ever made, boy did it burn going down...

But yeah it was pretty good. Hawaii and hulu dancing with a coconut murder involved...
The Wishlist in my profile is outdated (I can't quite figure out how to edit it now, so many of the creatures there have already been obtained).

Gift ideas: Really am looking for a Varja Crystalwing for future breeding of pygmies and Gemdragons.

It appears the between the three of us, Spok is the least affected. She didn't search or cry for Sophic at all, something that she usually did when they weren't playing together in the same room, but she does look rather sad.
She was really agitated last night though and refused to eat in the morning prefering to just hide in her box, so I guess she somehow knew he was going to leave us.
I'm really going to miss my little moody boy :t-cry:
