I keep forgetting that we can change the percentage on frozen hatchlings. It's an old habit to try and freeze creatures below 1%.

You can only change it if it's below/at 5% though so you still have to freeze them early on.

I am so tired of a coworker. I'm tired of covering for her ass (even when I don't intentionally do it). I'm tired of her doing absolutely nothing but no one noticing but other employees. I'm so done. I'm kind of hoping she is non-renewed and won't be back next year.

I was trying to breed my two Arkenian Geese for the Golden Arkenian Goose, and decided to go ahead and raise a few normal hatchlings. Well... I had no idea about the Roast Arkenian Goose, and holy crap it has made me laugh so hard to log in and see that in my keep. I have never been more confused and delighted.

Oh dear. Sometimes, a gosling just gets too hot. Well, when life gives a magi a spontaneously combusted bird...

First, brine the bird. A brine is pretty much just cold water, alcohol, and a mix of fine and coarse-ground salt, plus add a bit of sugar or seasonings.

After you've brined it overnight, rinse it out, pat it dry, and set up the marinade.

Marinade: citrus juice, and a couple of bay leaves. Add some sweetener, too.

Next, carefully prick the skin, but don't go down into the meat. It's a way for the fat to escape, and it'll make it all crispy and golden. Now to stuff that hollow middle! Roughly chop some carrots, potatoes, celery, and an apple, and one or two onions. Toss them with rosemary, pepper, chopped garlic, and a little salt, then shove it in. Sew the openings as shut as they will go, and pop the bird in the oven, using fire magic to keep it hot. Start with the temperature high, then reduce the heat after ten or twenty minutes. Roast until it smells right. The breast meat should be served rare, so pull it out early.

I think I've finally reached a point where I can recognize burnout a little before it is a crisis. I've cleared my schedule and am giving myself 7 days of R&R. Time for reading, meditation and relaxing cups of coffee. Oh and a bit of time with my adoptables, just because.

I will just crawl to my teacher and beg for an extension (Should be an issue since he said we would get one if we needed). I need more time to analyse and compare this text and find the "literature" part in this bs book.
And to write something that doesn't involve me throw words around back and forth, but never get to a point.

Fuck this whole course.
