Our multiplexer malfunctioned today. I really hope that we'll be able to fix it because I can't do my experiment without it. My entire project revolves around photon pair correlations and we need the multiplexer in our setup so I can actually measure the correlation statistics.

Otherwise, I'm having a blast with this project. I've never worked in a lab before but I really enjoy it. My lab touches on a bunch of different fields, which is great for letting me get a sense of how much I like each field. I'm finding that I really love QM and EE!

Hello!! It’s been a while- college has sucked me into a black hole. That was just me rambling about my research. I’m working in an optics/electrical engineering lab this summer and it’s been a lot of fun.

Back from the vet. Closed pyometra. Emergency surgery tomorrow. Damn if it's not always something. But at least, assuming there are no surgical complications, after the surgery and recovery she will be healthy again. Given her symptoms, other possibilities were renal failure, diabetes, or Cushings disease - all of which would have affected her quality of life as well as shortened it.

So if any of you feel like rooting for my girl, please keep her in your thoughts. It'd mean a lot to me. She's my heart.

This was me last year for a total of three effing day throughout spring/summer.

That's not including the queen hornet that lawn-mowered right into my living room which had me trapped in my bathroom until the afternoon (I'm highly allergic to wasp venom and live in a studio apartment).
