I realize a lot of people get off on them for various reasons, but I can’t really enjoy romantic or erotic subplots for their own sake. I’m ace and aro myself, and that’s part of it, but mostly I’d advocate for more stories without romantic subplots simply because the romance gets shoehorned into many stories that don’t need it. It’s so expected of fictional stories, especially fantasies, that I feel you’re far more likely to see a half-assed attempt at a tired romance than you are to find something engaging, even if you like the genre. Of course, I don’t think lazy writing is relegated to romance, but more representation of ace characters would be nice given a significant swath of the population still thinks asexual only ever refers to a form of cellular reproduction.
I agree for the most part, except I don’t ever like sexual content, no matter how much it’s in the background. The thought of it makes me upset for some inexplicable reason. Romance is fine with me, but I agree with you - it so often feels shoehorned in and underdeveloped or overly sappy and it makes me cringe. I ship a lot of fictional characters, but only the ones that I feel have a well-developed relationship, and for me, that type of thing is getting rarer and rarer.

Same here, but sometimes I read books which contains sexual contents no matter what it would make me cringe so much, well I do love to ship fictional characters.

As a questioning ace/aro (not ace, just aro), I’d like to say the reason I dislike romance in media is that no one does it for true plot and character development. Generally, it’s thrown in for the sake of it being there, and it’s EVERYWHERE. That’s what I hate. If there was a book with no romance and it had amazing characters, I’d read the heck out of it. If there was a book with well-done romance that properly forwards the plot and it had amazing characters, see above reaction.

This is gonna seem like a weird question, but does anyone have any suggestions for cheap dental work? I live in California and surprise surprise don't have any extra cash. I've heard Mexico is the place to go, but... I'm leery. But also bordering on desperate and the US healthcare is so messed up. If anyone has had any experience with this, info would be much appreciated. :t-:(

First attempt to take antibiotic, take 1 pill and end up in the ER vomiting. That was a few weeks ago. Made a second attempt, taking 1/4 a pill for a few days, and suddenly the nausea comes back. Haven't vomited but feel like crap.

You should probably talk to a doc to get something different prescribed then - different brand of different active compound/type of antibiotic. No point in taking a pill that you will hurl up and - unless it's what your doctor told you to do, taking a part of the dose undermines the whole concept of even taking antibiotics. You won't kill off the bacteria in your system fully, and the buggers that are left bejind may develop resistance.

Was testing to "make sure" I couldn't take the antibiotic so that insurance will actually pay for surgery. Turns out that yes, the antibiotic makes me feel like crap.

Oh, if that's the case, then you hopefully get it.
Sorry, if i worded my previous post abrasively i've met a lot of people who borderline adamantly take antibiotics wrong, including a fam member who compulsively takes them for colds and such, so- yeah

Huuuuh
my 2015 Halloween dragons seem to have bailed from my scroll. Which is weird b/c I KNOW I had them and I never traded them cause b/c fuck the DC forums honestly.
I have the event badge and the encyclopedia says I had eggs. But there's, no dragons on my scroll.

I mean, I'm pretty certain my eggs didn't die on me.
