I used to play VOU a long, long time ago... like when it still had sister sites. A few unicorns I submitted even got on the site. I haven't returned in a long time, just kinda forgot about it tbh. Glad to see I haven't I suppose. It's sad to see the site is gone down hill, I liked the art.

Valley of Unicorns, IIRC.. another pixel collecting game. It started out fun and different, but eventually became tedious and frustrating.

I agree with what everyone else has said about VoU so far.

I saw old posts on the forums there, well not OLD but... from earlier in this year, where the Matriarch admitted that she wished people would leave the site, so she could 'scrap it and rebuild it from the ground up.' So ever since, it seems like she's stopped caring about the site as much as she could. It definitely has a her way or the highway feel to it. I've lost count of how many help/bug topics are on the forums, that she hasn't so much as acknowledged. It's a shame, really, the site has so much potential to be awesome... but her thing is that she wants it to be so drastically different from other adoptable/collectible sites, and sometimes that's not always a good thing.

I don't know how much longer I'll be willing to stay on that site... it's getting frustrating and games like that should be the opposite: relaxing.

Bruh, she doesn't even need to wait for ppl to leave to 'scrap it' so idk what she's on about. She sure didn't wait when it came to the sister sites. She killed all those while they were active(and despite saying that at least one would come back, I don't think it ever did). I don't know why she keeps creating sites, she clearly has no heckin idea how to run'em properly.

Yikes. I'm glad this is not a problem for my old boy. He's missing most of his teeth now and all he can eat now is canned food. No stinky poo for him. Well, at least not any stinkier than is normal for cat poo.

I feel so angry. A guy I wanted to genuinely hang out with has not checked his messages for so long and tells me today that he has someone now. When I wanted to hang out as friends... It honestly shows how he felt about a friendship with me. Especially because it takes two to communicate and it failed on his part. I'm not the greatest at communicating but dang.

unfortunate how when your problems are noise-based, groaning in frustration can only add to the problem.

interesting. a big part of why i quit dc a few years ago was because i didn't like the idea of them starting to release new breeds in such a way so that anyone who wasn't able to play during release would only ever be able to get a stripped-down version. to be specific, how they initially handled solstice dragons pissed me off tremendously, and i found the idea of that method keeping on and spreading just intolerable.
buuut today i decided they just had too many awesome dragons to stay away from, went back to play/oggle all the pretty new breeds on their big list and discover, whadayaknow? they've apparently since changed solstice dragons so that the color alt depends on the time of day/night the egg was bred. i guess the rest of the community at the time wasn't going to let that fly either.

also, i guess either my tastes have changed or i've calmed down/matured a fuck of a lot since i last played dc, because the "stripped-down" version of them i was so pissed off about before? actually looks a lot more smooth and natural to me than the colorful version. the dusk** one still looks pretty, yeah, but they're just.. different kinds of pretty, y'know? at this point if i ever got one i don't think i'd even care which it ended up being. i wonder if i only cared about it before because someone said no. i'd ask if i was a freakin' two year old at the time but having been a teenager then was probably a lot more obnoxious.
