Finally managed to buy a male crystalwing for my brother Sorenatto. I did up the trades and have positioned it at the top of the main tab of his keep. So when he gets home from work and goes to check his eggs, the first thing he's going to see is Spyro.

Just want through months of fretting over surgery just to have it canceled. I was all ready with an IV and gown on, was wheeled all the way to the OR doors, just to have my surgeon change his mind right then and there! I mean I understand why he did and I’m glad he was professional and just didn’t do it because I was ready to go anyways, but I feel like there were so many other opportunity like pre surgical where the decision could have been made.

Now I just have to wait for the pain from pinched nerves to come back again, and then I’ll be rushed back to have surgery and have to go through it all again. It’s just emotional as everything freaks me out :t-cry:

Good new is I’ll be around again

Now I can enjoy my old pair that has weaker glass strenght. Hopefully I wont get too big of headache from this x.x

Glad I have that checkup thing this Saturday. Will be able to grab new pair of frames then. And thanks to the previous glasses I bough from them,I have 50% off the final price for this new pair :hooray:

Was just sitting here wondering how it went...and wow...just WOW! What reason did he give for canceling....and he needs to pay for part of the bill for having you there and canceling like that.

Glad you are back though. <3 :t-glomp:

AssassinsCreed, I like the last pair the best. I had something similar just in a dark dusty rose.

How can you be 19 and not know how to count money or what a nickel is? Things do not bode well for the front office of the park my husband is leaving (because of his promotion). One of the seasonals is a "pageant girl" and she honestly has said "what is a nickel?" and "I don't know how to count money."

Hubby (along with others) was involved with the interviews and she was dead last on his list because he could tell she wasn't a good fit. Looks like he was right and they should have listened to him. Pageant girl knew someone though so they hired her. I hate the good ol' boys club thing that goes on so much when it comes to getting a job.

Oh dear.... that reminds me of a guy hired in my store. Dumb shit literally looked my in the eyes and said; “I don’t know how to sweep.”
We had to sweep and mop the floors every night. I don’t know how often I found him mopping the floors with just fucking water, not the soap mix we have. It’s even more stupid cause right next to the water hose it says; “WATER. DO NOT USE ON FLOORS

YIKES

reminds me of the time i trained this girl; we are very short on people so the managers literally hire anyone who applies. (NOT a good choice in my opinion.) We had this girl that I had to train, I'm a hostess/cashier so I handle the money, the drawers, the paperwork, etc. My favorite manager, let's just call her P, comes up to me and says "Hey Dancingstar, can you help train this girl tomorrow?" I said sure, why the hell not. The next day I come in, I can tell right from the get-go that she's not a good fit for this place. First off, she was very, very, very slow. We are truck stop and in the summer, we have to move at a fast pace. Let's call her Ms.Slow I don't say anything, and I begin to train her. I show her how to assign herself the drawer, then make her do it on the register next to mine. This process is repeated, I show her how to do something, she repeats it.She seemed to understand and I was satisfied. I go to the back of the house to get something for the salad bar. I tell her I'll be right back, and to watch the tills. I guess she was about to leave and wanted something to eat, so she had her back turned to a customer while she was reading the menu. I apologize to the guy, who was a little huffy at that point, and take his money. She leaves and I continue my night in peace.

The next day I come in and I found Ms.Slow had been fired when I came in. I go to P and I ask why, P explains to me that she came down from the managers office to find a huge line by the cashier stand and when she asked Ms.Slow if she needed any help, Ms.Slow replied. "Yeah I can't figure out how to assign myself the drawer." Which is not only the easiest thing to do, it's also the first thing I went over with her. Ms.Slow had maybe been there for a good hour to half hour that day and she still didn't have herself assigned to the drawer, which is something you should do in like...the first 5 minutes of arriving. It only takes a second. P said, thankfully, that she didn't blame me and that she would let me train someone again if I ever needed too.

I think the girl lied on her application, because she said she had a restaurant experience, but I've worked in one long enough to know that it's almost impossible to be that slow and have restaurant. Managers didn't check into her references because we were so short on people. Lesson Learned, I hope.

Sometimes I feel like a reverse-werewolf: the closer the full moon is the more I resemble a productive human being. Not that I'm complaining.

Also I learned that there'll be a reptile expo next month in my city. Wellp,I guees I still have some time to set up another terrarium (or two. Or three), because I know myself and I'm definitely gonna get a frog or another dozen of snails
