I've had that happening from time to time in the last couple months--I click recent clicks and nothing shows up. I wondered if there was a glitch of some kind. Maybe I should post in site errors...Enchanteddil wrote:Someone is clicking my hatchlings and growing them up in the main tab. I bought some new dino bird thingies as hatchlings because I gift only hatchlings and some of them were grown by the time I came online. Same with some Calaveras Monkeys. Not very happy about this.

As I just went through this myself;PeterCamenzind wrote:I think I've finally decided it's high time I get a tattoo. Any tips on to what to look for when choosing an artist? This will be my first tattoo.
First you should figure out what sort of tat you want, what sort of art style. There’s actually several different styles for tattoos, and it’s all about the lines, proportions and coloring style. Also make sure that what you’re getting is something you actually want.
Next, browse various parlors. It’s okay to just go in and look. Talk with the artists, ask questions like, “do you do walkins, or appointment only? Can you do this style of tat? Do you do custom tats? (Ie can they draw up a tattoo based upon a pose or description you give them, or do you have to come in with your tattoo already designed.) most parlors will have booker with their finished products available for everyone to look at, ask for those. Stay away from parlors that don’t.
Ask the customers too, when I stopped into the shop I went too, i pestered a couple people who were waiting, asked them what they liked about the shop, how good the artists were. Were they (the customers) happy with what they got? Was there any scarring from the tat?
And lastly, how does the place make you feel? I’ve stopped into several shops with great art, great service, but I just did not like the place. The atmosphere was off, or the artists themselves just weren’t what I was looking for. The shop I did go to, I felt welcome and included when I first walked in (they actually thought I was one of their artists when I walked in, cause a couple were outside on lunch. It was quite amusing.)
My artist, before he even draw up my tat, made sure I knew what I was getting into. He made sure I knew what I wanted, and that I knew once it was tattooed, there was no going back. He, and the others artists there, answered all of my questions (even the joking ones) and generally made me feel welcome and very informed.

I'd suggest deciding on what style tattoo you want (realistic? detailed? watercolor-like? etc.) and finding an artist based on that; you want the tattoo you're getting to be something your artist is really good at/has experience with. One of my friends spontaneously got a wolf tattoo by an artist who specializes in geometrical stuff... afterwards she was disappointed that it didn't turn out how she wanted it to (= very realistic). Don't make that mistake.PeterCamenzind wrote:I think I've finally decided it's high time I get a tattoo. Any tips on to what to look for when choosing an artist? This will be my first tattoo.

If you know people with tats, ask them where they went. I always do that first. Google reviews are also your friend (yelp, fb reviews, or something similar would work) but always always look at their previous work before they touch you. The other two posts above me have great suggestions. I usually take in a pic of what I want to get a quote and to see if they can do it, a good tat artist will admit if they can't do it with justice.PeterCamenzind wrote:I think I've finally decided it's high time I get a tattoo. Re: How Was Your Day Thread V5
I was excited today because we plan to go somewhere that I love and enjoy on monday so we went to go buy the tickets and plan the day...
Now I'm super annoyed/frustrated because this place had to cut back and change a ton of things that made me happy because of pressure from idiots that just believe what they hear or see without any legit proof because someone else they know or idolize said so and then continue to influence other idiots in their little social media groups to the point where they become a hate group of activists and ruin things for everyone else. :/

No tips, but so jealous! I've wanted a tattoo or two forever. Do you know what kind of design you want? Will you show it off here (either design or finished tat) when you get it?PeterCamenzind wrote:I think I've finally decided it's high time I get a tattoo. Bring a couple suckers or tootsie rolls or bite sized candy of your choice. That little bit of energy goes a long way to help your nerves.PeterCamenzind wrote:I think I've finally decided it's high time I get a tattoo. Any tips on to what to look for when choosing an artist? The first one is intimidating but it's really not bad at all. It just feels like you're being snapped by a rubber band, honestly the sound is weirder than the feeling. Don't skip on the vaseline/neosporin. Improper aftercare can ruin the look if it heals wrong. Keep the area dry for the first two days, particularly if you have hard water. Saran wrap over it in the shower is fine. If there's swelling, leave the wrap off for a couple hours and this is going to sound funny, but store brand Preparation H. It has all of the same active ingredients as Neosporin plus something to help swelling and store brands normally doesn't have the Prep H smell.
Offer to tip your tattooist. Some places don't allow that, but it's considered a good faith gesture. It means that you're serious about this.

I realize that Morgana from Persona 5 can be rather annoying with his constant pestering about going to bed early and not doing anything unnecessary because sleep is precious but damn, I think I might need such a kitty-cat myself. I sure as hell can't be trusted with being responsible and getting enough sleep and all those adult things on my own. Maybe if my cat told me to go to sleep I'd actually do it?
