I think FFs about real people are interesting
They tell a lot more about the person who wrote them than the actual FF heroes, ahem. It's like listening to somebody talk in their sleep -- they don't really understand what they are saying, but it does explain a lot about them to a fellow listener.
Like, how f*cking far can you go with your messed up sh*t?
It's truly special.

anyone ever been drawing someone else's oc for them, invert-flipped the colors a sec to help find spots where you missed the lines and accidentally discover that their oc would be extremely attractive if it used the exact opposite of its actual pallet?

Fanfics about fictional things (anime or games or whatever) usually shows how the author:
1) Feels about a character, the world and more
2) Their personal interpretation of the story/character/ mm
3) What author thinks should have happened instead of what has happened at certain points
4) What they find ridiculous in their favourite show
And a lot more Its more of hearing someone ranting about said show they are writing about, but instead of talking out loud they write it down beneath the story they are telling :3

No, but now you got my imagination running so I might give it a go sometimes ! xDSolbrekt wrote:anyone ever been drawing someone else's oc for them, invert-flipped the colors a sec to help find spots where you missed the lines and accidentally discover that their oc would be extremely attractive if it used the exact opposite of its actual pallet?
Curious to see how it'll turn out.

Re: How Was Your Day Thread V5
Fanfics about real people just seem gross to me. I'd hate it if someone wrote weird fanfics about me, soooo... yeah. I'm generally fine with fanfics about fictional things, but even then, I feel like it's getting harder and harder to find decent-quality fanfiction, so I've been avoiding it.

I'm really excited about getting the first four volumes of Natsume Yuujinchou! lookatthemIlovethem
I ordered them in Japanese so I can practice reading. It makes me more excited than I should be when I can get through multiple pages without needing to look up translations or word definitions, lol. (But I do still need to do that a lot. I have much to learn...)

Re: How Was Your Day Thread V5
I once came upon the unearthly fact that people seem to make A LOT of weird fanfic about band-members of Rammstein. It just goes beyond my understanding why would anyone ever write that. And yet... there are dozens of texts and comic strips.
And to @ShadowOfThePhoenix - I adore the anime Natsume. Amazing art and stories!

@ShadowOfThePhoenix:
I don't really get fanfiction about real people either. It is just way too stalker-ish and invasive for me. They are real people with their own lives and already give enough of themselves with their music. Why put them in fanfictions as well?
I once had this one friend who constantly wrote about Gazette and shipped herself with Reita, one of the band's members. The other ones she paired up with themselves, I guess? I don't really remember now. I always felt a tad uncomfortable when she went on and on about her fanfiction and the band. Fortunately she eventually grew out of it so no harm was done in the end.
@PeterCamenzid:
Even Rammstein? Why?

Re: How Was Your Day Thread V5
I honestly have no idea. They are not even some boy-band for teens to ship or whatever. It's super wrong. And there are something of "canon" pairings that all "fans" ship (won't go into details). It's pretty idiotic and wtf-ish.Flaviel wrote:@PeterCamenzid:
