so, the Easter creature can only be obtained by those in the herbalist shop? Or was there no Easter creature/this year and this is just a new permanent creature?

So far, an Easter creature has not appeared. These are new permanent additions to the Herbalist Guild Shop.

Just wanted to say, I have officially renamed these to Numnums, and you won't convince me otherwise Morg. 
These are very very cute, only thing I wish is if the female was flipped around and facing towards the right, that way when you place the adults together it looks as if the male brought her some flowers to share together. Such cute nummy Numnums!
