I do not want to be a dynasty member, and I consider those PMs harassment. I can't possibly convey my annoyance at those PMs without the use of a string of filthy swearwords.

You are not the first to complain and sadly won't be the last. Currently there is no way to disable pm's or set it as "I dont want to be in a dynasty". You could try mailing back and just simply say "Im sorry not interested", I know in my case I won't mail you again unless by accident. If you are getting a ridiculous amount from the same person then that may be considered a form of harassment you could take up with DemonicJ, but invites to dynasties is just part of yarolds otherwise and there isn't much that can be done :c

I used to send a polite "no thank you" reply, but that's still gotten me the same invite 4-5 times from the same 4-5 people, they'd just wait a couple months, then invite again-again. Plus the others that pop up every now and then. One was particularly annoying ("But why don't you want to join??? Bla-bla-bla, we're so awesome" over several PMs, trying to keep a conversation going like some horrible doorsales person who won't leave.. ), so now I just rip the PMs apart and don't reply.

This was sparked by me getting the same invite as I got about two weeks ago.

I was hoping that there was a newly created way to block them that I just couldn't find. Oh well, I suppose I'll just get the satisfaction of tearing them up.

Yeah, I only visit Yarolds 3-4 times a year, and last time got an invite from someone who said they saw I was a great clicker and I should join their dynasty. Maybe it was the same person you got; they kept asking me why and trying to tell me how I could use the site more and be more active... When they started suggesting I pay to have premium I was done with polite dissuasions.

I definitely understand your frustration, some people do go a bit too far with their attempts to recruit people and I know it can be very frustrating. I hope that hasn't ruined your experience with Yarolds :c I will take this up with DemonicJ tonight and see if he can pitch something to the boss to fix this

I did at least finally find a dynasty that isn't overbearing, the only real rule is for activity. As long as you click, everything is cool. But what really sold me was that I don't have to keep links up overnite.

Yeah that's what many people end up doing. There used to be a few dynasties dedicated solely for that reason "stop the spam" is the one I remember the most. There are lots of dynasties on yarolds now if you want to find one that suits you most. But, you really shouldn't have to be forced to do that to avoid the mails..

I created a dynasty to escape the invites. I've been a proud dynasty of 1 since the last member got auto-kicked for inactivity. Inactivity is really the only way you get kicked from my dynasty, and it's always an auto-kick by the system. I've only kicked one person from my dynasty, for personal reasons.
