Look out at the dynasties, join one, they really help in getting more links.

Firefox is the best browser for Yarolds, in my experience.

If you do not have the flash block addon for Firefox, get one, that is really needed. You already know about snaplinks
Oh, some links, need you to do a follow up, and intermixed in them are some test pages http://yarold.eu/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4171 that you have to be careful about.

Some power clicking tips
Go to the bottom of dynasty exchange page, click customize and turn off all marks except LINKS, click update - then you will get a 1 page only where you can see any link popping up to be clicked -
for the lazy: download Firefox add on RELOAD EVERY - and set the page to auto reload every 10 seconds; sit back and watch the page reload and click when a link pops up ;)

A Newbie FAQ for Yarolds

Yarolds is a link exchange. People will click your links to help your raise your creatures, you reciporcate by clicking their links.

To add your links to Yarolds go to your profile page http://swle.yarold.eu/profile.php and click the tab called Links
Add your links there. You have to add simple links not embed codes (an example is shown in the code box)

To get clicks, you have to have positive credits. You get positive credits by clicking other people's links. Yarolds starts you off by giving you 400 credits when you join.

To prevent browser crashes:

• Use Firefox, it is the best browser for Yarolds (others can be used)
  Download snaplinks (if you do not have it already)
  Download Flash block
  Download Ad block
  Download Reload Every

These add-ons will prevent your browser from crashing and make life easier on Yarolds.

To click:
Have a link showing. If you do not have a link showing, you will be unable to click.

Types of links:
Yarolds shows 2 types of links, those like Magistream ones that just need to be clicked and closed, others like Unicreatures which need an additional action.
Some links will have buttons with doorgaan, mai departe, go go go etc, which have to be clicked. Please do this otherwise the person whose link you clicked will only lose Yarolds credits without getting any benefit.

Yarolds does not allow BOT clicking, to ensure that people are actually clicking they have HAT tests.
HAT stands for Human Awareness Test.
CARE is the percentage of success of your HAT. If you have less than 10 HAT, there will be no rating displayed, once you have completed your 11th HAT your rating comes into play.
Ratings less than 25% means links which need follow up will not be displayed to you.

You will find links in all these places only if you are showing links in these pages. As a newcomer you will be unable to remove your links from the history exchange till you become a VIP.

To become a VIP, you have to exchange (show and click) over 570799 clicks. Another way to obtain it is to buy credits, every 80 credits bought gets you one day as a VIP, denoted by a blue star next to your name.

In the next post I make, I will explain about dynasties. Meanwhile, you can start clicking and using Yarolds without joining a dynasty.

A Dynasty is a group of people. Each dynasty can have a maximum of 75 users. A bunch of dynasties together form an Alliance. Each alliance can have a maximum of 400 users.

How would a dynasty benefit a player?

Because of the dynasty members and the alliance members there are links of between 300 - 400 players available for a person to click which may not be available otherwise. It also means these players will all click your links too.

You have to apply to join a dynasty.
You will join in as a peasant. You will get promoted to Samurai, Daimyo, Shogun. Each dynasty sets its own rules for promotions. Usually they are your clicking averages.

Two terms which you notice in dynasties are Emperor and Kampaku. In simple terms an Emperor is the owner of a dynasty and the Kampaku is the deputy owner or maybe a co owner of the dynasty.

These two people decide on the alliances your dynasty will have, a good bunch of alliances means you get most clicks and links. So, check to see if the Emperor and Kampaku are active players. If they are not active on the site, they cannot make the optimum alliances for your dynasty.

Once you are in your dynasty, it makes sense not to show links on Main unless you want some creature to grow superfast. You lose more credits. Till you become a VIP, your links will always show up on history exchange.

Remember your credits should be positive else your links will not show.

On the dynasty page:
Your dynasty will always be on the top. The allies will be below your dynasty.
If no link is showing, you have clicked that link.
Instead of a link if you see the following:

• <-1> user has no credits left
  <hidden> user has hidden all their links
  <none> user has no links set
  <adult> this link is an Adult link
  <care> your CARE is too low
  <visited> you already visited this link
  <not allowed link> User is showing a link that has been disallowed
  <temporary disabled type> User is showing a link that has been temporarily disallowed
  <limit> Only the first 100 links are shown all other links show up as this. Once you click the visible links and refresh the page, these links will show up.

Dynasty etiquette to follow: (these points are true for every dynasty - individual dynasty may set different rules)
Always show at least one link
Try to stay positive always
Follow through on links that require a follow through. You can identify those by ' behind the link.

Here are some hints to be an expert clicker
If you are busy and dont have time to follow up on CARE links, you can click on the "Open All" link found in orange at the end of each page.
Just scroll down and you will see it at the bottom black border of the link table. This will be found on all three pages. Clicking this opens links that do not require follow through. Once they have loaded you just have to right click on the exchange page and then delete all the other tabs.
Set reload every to refresh the page every 3, 5 or 10 seconds depending on your internet speed, and your clicking speed. My computer is slow, so I can set it to refresh only after every minute or two.

On the dynasty page, scroll down to the customize, click on it. On the drop down menu select only the links. This way the links will show up all together and it will be easy to snaplink them.

I think this should help people find their way through Yarolds at the beginning. If there are other issues you would like me to add here, please PM me and I will add it to the FAQ.

Thanks DJ, I tried to write it for someone who was just stepping into Yarolds.

I personally find that Firefox works best for Yarolds, I tried Chrome and Opera but switched back to Firefox. If anyone asks for addons for other browsers I will definitely ask you.
Everyone on MS usually has snaplinks or Multilinks what they need would be flashblock.

Is it possible to open each type of links separately? So I can select only Magistream, rigged Valenth links etc., open all of them and then just close all of them?
