OK, I understand that different creatures hatch at different rates... I already knew that, lol.

What doesn't make sense is why two of the SAME CREATURES grow at different rates. If every, single creature grows at a differnt rate, that's like rebooting your system every time you change browser pages.. IT MAKES NO SENSE. I understand Koi growing at one rate, Gryphons at another, etc. etc. etc. but WHY should two Koi grow at different rates??? That's what makes no sense and seems VERY unfair to everyone.

----------------

On a different note.. Yarold's just isn't as fast as it used to be. Where did all the players/clickers go?

I started using Yarold's because the click threads here at MS were so slow. But now, Yarold's is getting to be just as slow as the click threads. It takes all day to grow what used to be fast hatchers and two or more days for the slow stuff. If it keeps on like this, my playstyle will definitely change.. meaning I won't bother to play every day.

This is what I stated earlier and believe is the most likely reason for two creatures of the same species growing at different rates:
Rosehill wrote:I believe the difference is caused simply by many people clicking only some links on Yarolds instead of all posted links, so links on the first slots get more clicks and thus make the creatures on those slots grow faster. Replacing the link on a already occupied slot vs. using an empty slot for a new link also seems to get more clicks for the one posted in the empty slot.

I have to disagree with part of that statement. In my experience, using the same slot over and over gives FEWER clicks. Which is why I never use the same slot twice on the same day; I start at slot 1 and work my way down to 20 before starting over again at slot 1.

LOL, if you say so... to me, it read exactly the opposite. Wording things to make sense isn't always easy.

But I still think that creatures of the same type should grow at the same rate. It's bad enough that clicks aren't 1:1 due to the different games involved. At least the growth rates ought to be predictable.

There is also a problem of how people click. People instead of using the addons recommended have started using multilinks. With multilinks you can set it to close all links after x amount of seconds open... This ignores if a page is fully loaded or not. You get the credits but people dont get the clicks. The script created by DemonicJ doesnt close links until the page is fully loaded. This was just one theory Jay and I have discussed on the matter. (granted this was a month or so back, Im not sure if things have changed with multilinks)

Magistream links reset every 4 hours, so if you take your link down and wait 4 hours, that link slot is "new". New slots will definitely give you more clicks than a used slot. Also, your first 1-4 links typically will get more clicks than the rest. Since on main & history your links only show 4 at a time and we have a lot of members not clicking all the links on the site, they only click what they can and we appreciate that but can lead to differences in creature growths.

The credits are different based on link reset times. So if you can click a link multiple times a day it's cheaper to have up than a link you can only click once a day. It makes sense in theory, but it makes having certain link types up better/cheaper.

Had to edit the starting post of this thread as it was a little out of date.

The changes from the original post are;

Daily sign in bonus of 100 credits! So sign in everyday to get your 100 credits.

Depending on you VIP status, you have the ability to show up to 60 links simultaneously (at the very least you have 20 minimum)!

Three jackpots per month (8th, 18th & 28th), where low credit holders are given a boost!

You still get your 400 credits when you create a new account.

As always, if you need help mail me here or there at Yarolds

I have a question about a feature.
Why does the site remove you form your dynasty after 10 days of inactivity? Actually, why does it do that at all, didn't that used to be up to the discretion of the dynasty creator?
Because, 10 days(even two weeks) is, not a lot of time. Especially if someone goes on vacation. It's not fun coming back from a two week vacation to find out the site just you from a dynasty you we part of since joining, and thus losing all progress. :(
And why did it drop from 2 weeks to 10 days? And why such a short time anyways? It hardly seems fair(2 weeks or 10 days).
People do in fact have lives, and the can get busy and not have the time to check it. Or if they aren't raising anything and have no use to check the site.

Since I didn't like the banner on front cause it took up too much room, I created my own banner. Please feel free to use the banner that I created:

The site now automatically kicks you from a dynasty after 11 days of not logging on. This was added because dynasty alliances are only allowed to have a certain amount of members. Many dynasties would not kick members and then the dynasty exchange would fill up with <inactive> members. When you go <inactive> no one can click your links even if you have credits so it was pointless to have those members taking up that room where an active member could be instead. You turn inactive after 11 days of not logging on which is why 11 days was chosen.

Im not sure about all dynasties but I know in most if you message your leader/co-leader about going on vacation or about something big coming up they are usually more than understanding and willing to work with you/ accept you back into a dynasty as soon as you are free again. Everyone is only human and has other stuff going on of course :)

The site does not in any way count how long you have been in a dynasty though so Im not sure what progress is lost, but just logging in (not even clicking) will prevent you from being kicked by the site :) I know Ive been slack about clicking since college starting and being out of country but I always try to log on daily with my phone even if I dont click that day.
